Great sign. This team is going to be interesting. Just imagine if Micheal regains any of the play that made him ROY a few years ago.

Good defender with size, I'm ok with it. Contract will be interesting.

Better defender, will probably have same efficiency.
I thought he'd be who we'd land on. Between Frank, Lamb, and now Monk on the second unit, we didn't need a high usage guy. Manage the game and play plus D and we'll be fine.

He couldn't even get off the bench in the playoffs and what little he did he was awful.

Is that the BAE? Cause if so that's pretty nice.

Less actually, can fit there if needed but I imagine the focus is to spilt up the MLE to stay under tax. Then save BAE for next year.

Re: Hornets sign MCW
ehhhhhh. He has some intriguing qualities but he's a below average backup PG who can't shoot.
Again.
I'm trying to be optimistic about this, but there's not a ton to like about a guy with a career 47 TS%

He is going to be sharing time with Kemba, Malik, and Briante. He doesn't have to be Jason Kidd.

If you erase the down year MCW had last season his career numbers are much better Ramon's his first few years. Besides we are talking about a 25 year old who is 6'6 vs a 31 year old who is 6'3. MCW should pair nicely on our second unit with new our 6'3 two guard.

Re: Hornets sign MCW
He can defend SGs so Monk doesn't have to. He can give Lamb and Frank the ball. That's pretty much all we need from our backup PG.
Statistically he's an excellent defender, and he's never played in an even decent defensive system. Seems hard to dislike this given our cap constraints.
I'm pretty intrigued by our late game out of bounds defensive lockdown unit of MCW - MKG - Marv - Cody - Dwight.

Re: Hornets sign MCW
Cheap team friendly deal. I hope he doesn't play much.
