Re: Around the NBA 10
I think Bron is being patient. Going in this year was going to cost too much to get Kawhi or other big names.
You also can't sleep on Ingram and Ball. I'd put that young tandem right behind Simmons and Embiid.

Re: Around the NBA 10
While it would be cool to see Kawhi stay in Toronto and the Lakers left empty-handed (in terms of putting stars around LeBron), it would probably force them go hard after Kemba as their backup plan. Lonzo is straight garbage when it comes to scoring and the Lakers will be desperate to put a scoring guard next to him and LeBron.

Melo to Rockets. He's a good fit there. LeBron is in a wasteland in LA. No George and no Paul. No Kawhi this year and who knows if ever? Kryies never going there either

Melo would've been a good fit in Houston last year. Now the Rockets are hurting for perimeter defense a lot more than they needed an extra scorer.

My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

Kevin Love is getting that check now before he shows how empty his stats are without LeBron.

I think this will increase the amount of teams willing to deal for Love. They no longer have to factor in the risk that he will bolt next summer. Consequently though the Cavaliers will probably be asking for more assets in return for him.

Case in point that we can't assume just because we don't trade for someone that we aren't trying or that the player is actually available.

Really nice move for Cleveland, either they just locked down an all-star or they increased the value of their biggest asset.

No interest in Love at 30 million for 4 years as a 30 year old while the NBA pace moves even faster.

"He’s a great screen-setter." ~ Scott Brooks on Dwight Howard.
From Scott Fowler a month ago:
"A 'terrible' screen setter
I was speaking to a team source in midseason – this was months before the Howard trade – and he told me of the Hornets players’ frustration that Howard simply wouldn’t run the play that was called, sometimes in key last-minute situations.
Also, for a man with a superhero body, Howard’s screen-setting was often “terrible,” according to the source."
Uh...somebody's wrong.

lol
when Dwight's willing to get his ass out of the paint and screens, he's an effective screener. it's just that he half-asses it too much to be considered a decent screener, let alone a great one. Scotty Brooks is in for a rude awakening. Wall is going to get pissed at Howard so fast, he'll be wishing Gortat was still there by January

Re: Around the NBA 10
<The union insists that mental health treatment be confidential, but some NBA owners, who in some cases are paying their players hundreds of millions of dollars, want access to the files of their "investments.">
I think this is a great idea, so long as all owners present their own complete physical and mental health records to the local players' union representative, for distribution as necessary. After all, who wants to work for someone with known obsessive-compulsive tendencies, or dementia, or who has a history of heart disease and might keel over during exciting points of the season?

Clock reset to 14 instead of 24 on an oreb seems good for our new fast paced offense.

Pretty sure we looked at Jimmy Butler last time he was available.
What could we do to get him here?
