LeBron James is pontificating about how "sometimes we're afraid to be uncomfortable and kind of get out of our comfort zone." What the heck does he mean? Maybe the Lakers should try using more zone. Or maybe he is upset because the team is just as bad as advertised when he ditched Cleveland and joined the Lakers.

I remember when Magic Johnson was coach of the Lakers. He could not abide the young players who failed to give their all. It did not go well.

From what I've seen is the players play timid. Lebron shouldn't have to carry that team every night. Young players often try to reduce their role to skirt from the criticism when something goes wrong, especially on a big stage such as LA.

Maybe MCW can show Fultz it's okay to be a bust?

Anybody else thinking about becoming a Pelicans fan?

The Pelicans coach tried to call a timeout he didn't have twice within the final 10 seconds of the game. He gets T'd up to seal the win for the Suns when game was tied 136-136.

Yeah rooting for them to win more games than we do of course

It's still pretty cool thinking about how Anthony Davis wants out of there. That organization and fan base never deserved him. Will be even cooler when Silver takes the franchise away from them in a few years

NBA announced that there will be a Hornets-Bucks game in Paris in 2020 (january the 24th).

Safe to say Batum won't be moved till then.

Its considered a "home" game for the Hornets, wonder how much they bought us for since we lose a home game

Need Sixers to beat the Nets tonight. Orlando and Detroit will be interesting as well.

Unfortunately, I think it means we keep Parker too. MJ is all about business and having those 2 on the team for this game will mean a lot for the Hornets brand.

If its just for business, only Batum is on Jordan's Brand (which he signed for in 2016). Parker left Nike for Peak some time ago. Even though Parker is way more popular than Batum here. Hornets can't afford Parker's option even if Kemba does not come back. It makes no sense (cf Graham/Monk development + free agency/draft)
I know he did not leave good memories, but Diaw would have brought way more interest (since he is by far the best defender of the three, and the most talented too).

Anyway the reactions/excitment mostly concern the greek freak from what i could read.

The Heat played McGruder his average minutes today (23) against Toronto and then waived him in the afternoon. Today was the last day to request waivers on a player with an expiring contract, and the Heat had to move someone to get under the luxury tax. However they'll only get under IF he's claimed and not simply signed after clearing waivers.

The unfortunate thing is that McGruder goes from fighting for a playoff berth to completely ineligible due to being waived after 3/1. Some are speculating the Clippers, but he'd be available for a game or two before sitting out the playoffs. So the Heat are hoping that his restricted rights will be enough of a carrot to entice a team to jump.

Watching Milwaukee sweep Detroit and I don't think we missed out on anything by not making the playoffs. We'd probably be a little more entertaining and competitive, but likely the same result.

Any of you guys following this Brooklyn/Philly series? It’s remarkable how favorable the refereeing has been towards Philly. It’s just like our games against them where they don’t get called for travels and fouls. Or like when Embiid blatantly elbows people in the head without getting ejected. I believe I’ve seen DeMarcus Cousins get ejected for 1/4th of the contact. What is the deal? I look back on this season and those 4 losses pissed me off more than any of them. It really dejected this team and led to other losses we probably wouldn’t have had if we won some of those. The 60pt Kemba game being the worst.

I used to want to see Philly do well, but they are becoming one of the more unlikebale teams in the NBA in my opinion.

And I think that Embiid is a massive douche.

Same here. I used to find Embiid's antics amusing but now I loathe him.

Oh enormous douche. So is Simmons. Their ceiling is ECF, and I don’t see them beating Toronto. But they’ll talk and act like they’re the warriors.
