LeBron has lost 6?
MJ won 6.
And yes when the top player on a team wins multiple championships, winning does factor into greatness.

LeBron says he's never been on a superteam. He had Wade, Bosh and Allen. He had Kyrie and Love.

People always say Jordan had Pippen. Pippen is the guy they always cite.

Out of curiosity today I looked at Scotties career stats. He averaged 16 PPG. He had 5 years where he put up around 20. Jordan made him better in those years.

Scottie Pippen averaged 32.6% on his 3-ball. So you can just imagine how much less space Jordan had to operate. And he was much smaller than LeBron so he couldn't muscle opponents out of the way. He had to rely on skill. And he couldn't complain to refs every possession. He played in an era where players got mauled in the paint. Centers were rim protectors. Power forwards looked like Charles Barkley. They weren't dancing around the three point line like Love or Bosh.

I agree that MJ is goat but if you think he didn’t get star calls, you’re crazy

It would create a super draft in 2021

That's my takeaway as well. Batum comes off the books that summer and there's a good chance we'll suck that season, so maybe we'll finally get lucky?

Kawhi doesn't mention the Hornets in a team he'd like be traded to.

I'd stay away from Kawhi Leonard.

What does it say about him when he's the only one who wants to leave the most consistent and one of the best — if not the best — franchise in the league?

He has yet to speak with Pop personally and his camp already divulged his intent to leave San Antonio. I don't want his and his camp's drama on our team.

It honestly just sounds like he and his camp wants to force themselves into a big market. That's it. It's not a basketball decision, it's a bright lights big market thing. We don't fit that bill and Kawhi would 100% bolt the second he hit free agency. I feel like only a championship could change that.

Hot take

I don't think Kawhi would be a good player in another system. I think he got drafted into the absolute perfect situation, played beyond his means, and will get paid and enter the Blake Griffin cap crippling contract realm. He also seems to not care about basketball as much as living where he wants to live and being rich.

I don't believe he'd be a top 10 player, but definitely an all-star to me. The Spurs coached him up incredibly well, and I think he'd be a 20ppg guy whose defense is All-Defensive team caliber just about anywhere

I don't like the negative slant on Kawhi. For all we know, Kawhi might feel Popovich is borderline abusive and the tough love he dishes wore thin on Kawhi and it's hard for him to have fun when the coach is constantly riding you, scolding you and making you feel like no matter how hard you play it's never good enough, it's always about the mistakes. I had a boss like this and it made me resign. If you can't appreciate me and praise me for my value and contributions, every day becomes a **** day. It gets old.

Kawhi is stealthy top 5 player. What he did to Spurs is the money game. Any team in the league will pay this guy.

I'm not saying he isn't a top 5 or top 10 player, he is. I just think the potential to fall drastically off once he gets his massive contract is there.

That could also be true as well. But Kawhi only wants to play in New York or Los Angeles, two (currently) bad franchises.

Both destinations have a more loose atmosphere than the one with Popovich. Both cities are exciting and offer variety. If I were a millionaire I wouldn't put up with crap either. Heck, I was earning 50K and told my boss goodbye. If I ever win the lotto and decide to work, you can bet my boss won't be an ****.

Not sure why Pop's coaching style is even relevant or we're acting like Kawhi has had to put up with anything, the source of the conflict is not Pop.

Kawhi is about to sign the supermax. He had no reason to risk all that money by playing last season. It's like guys who are projected #1 pick have no reason to overexert themselves and risk losing money if something were to happen. Only way to fix this is to start allowing teams to stop paychecks to players who are healthy but unwilling to play.

Obviously the Clippers would be eager to trade BOTH 12 + 13 with Tobias for Kawhi but that still won't get it done.

And that is why we should offer 11 with Batum for Tobias + Beverly.

Then the Clippers could offer 11 + 12 + 13 + Batum for Kawhi.
