Hate Wades fit at Cavs. Another ball dominant slasher.

I'm sort of surprised Wade signed for so cheap. It definitely takes the pressure off of him if he takes some games off to rest. If Cavs are able to somehow bring a healthy group to the playoffs, I don't see any team getting in their way.

They have to get old sometime but I feel like LeBron and Melo are going to be able to be LeBron and Melo till they're 40.

It was a change that definitely had to be made. I wonder how all of those East teams that went into tanking mode are feeling now.

I don't feel like this change will improve tanking, much, if at all. Gives teams in the 3-8 range better odds. You don't have to bottom out to worst to get best odds, just bottom 3. And 4-8 still have better odds than before, so teams can decide later in year to tank and still feel like they have decent chance at top 3.
They shoulda went with my plan

Yep, it was a completely pointless change that only accomplishes making the draft less fair. I honestly think the NBA knows this won't stop tanking, but they also know changing the odds in this direction makes it less fair. I'm guessing this was just done purely for optics so that they can say they've addressed the issue.

Westbrook is going to be making 47 million when he is 35 but who cares?!

their window is the next 3 years or so, you've gotta do whatever you can to keep him there for that time period. Westbrook's contract will be absolutely massive and he won't really be worth it towards the end if he sees a major athletic decline by then, but we're realistically only talking about 1-2 years of that. Prime Westbrook is absolutely worth that future inconvenience.
