LOL you can't be serious with those trades    . There is literally nowhere for Nic's value to go but up from here. Let Nic get in shape and do his thing and trade him once he's recovered a bit of his value. He's not going to average 10/4/4 on 37/23 shooting all season. He's not Lance Stephenson

Not Stephenson but he has a striking resemblance to Boris Diaw

Not trading him and risking him leaving for nothing is definitely risky. You cant lose All-Star players for nothing. I would offer an extension in the offseason and if he doesn't take it i would trade him.

It's likely that Kemba won't sign an extension this off-season if and when we miss the playoffs. :(

exactly, how much better was Diaw's value when he played with San Antonio?
He can look good again, give it a little more time for the value to go up.

Imagine the tank that could be built to command and coast into Draft War Room 2018 if MCW and JOB started. We could have our pick of the litter from Bagley, Ayton, to Doncic.
They will wage war against the Lamb but the Lamb will triumph them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings - and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers." Revelation 17:14 (NIV)

Stealing from other threads and projecting how trades might look

Trade 1

Charlotte out: Dwight Howard & Trevor Graham
Charlotte in: Wes Matthews & Nerlens Noel

Initial trade to try to improve team fit and chemistry on both sides.

PG: Kemba Walker, MCW, Stone
SG: Nic Batum, Malik Monk, Wes Matthews
SF: MKG, Jeremy Lamb, Dwayne Bacon
PF: Marvin Williams, Frank Kaminsky, JOB
C: Nerlens Noel, Cody Zeller

Trade 2

Charlotte out: MKG
Charlotte in: Matthew Dellavedova & protected future first in 2020 or later (their 2018 pick is already traded to Phoenix).

If team is still having problems and Dellavedova comes back well from his knee issues then this trade is done to let Lamb start and give Charlotte a good backup PG. (Note this trade could have variants where either Lamb is traded or Milwaukee is part of a 3 way trade that includes Kemba – see trade below).

PG: Kemba Walker, Matthew Dellavedova, MCW
SG: Jeremy Lamb, Malik Monk, Wes Matthews
SF: Nic Batum, Dwayne Bacon
PF: Marvin Williams, Frank Kaminsky, JOB
C: Nerlens Noel, Cody Zeller

Trade 3

Charlotte out: Kemba Walker & JOB
Charlotte in: Kyle O'Quinn, Frank Nitikina, Lance Thomas, & Knicks 2018 pick

If things are STILL going south after trades 1 & 2, then full tank trade and roster shakeup.

PG: Frank Nitikina, Matthew Dellavedova, MCW
SG: Malik Monk, Wes Matthews, Dwayne Bacon
SF: Jeremy Lamb, Nic Batum, Lance Thomas
PF: Frank Kaminsky, Marvin Williams
C: Nerlens Noel, Kyle O'Quinn, Cody Zeller
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

I want a lot for Kemba. I want to be inundated with an avalanche of draft picks.

Just whipped this up and I kind of want more picks coming our way.

Charlotte out: Kemba & Dwight
Charlotte in: Brooklyn pick, this year’s Cleveland first, future Cleveland first, this years Pelican’s first, Tristan, Frye, Ajinca

New Orleans out: Cousins, Hill's contract, this year’s first

I still believe the front office will be blaming injuries and it wouldn't surprise me to see no sudden changes.

There's something not right about Portis. Half of the Chicago board seems to think he is a nutter.

Anywho, whatever we do should probably dovetail with the collapse of the Warriors and LeBron Dynasties. I don't see the point of a quick tank and re-tool with those golden gods still relevant.

Seriously, what team would, today, give us a late 1st, or even a 2nd round pick for Batum...even if they have the cap space? We can't do that deal anyway because we are OVER the cap. Every trade we'd make, short of perhaps Kemba, brings us back pennies on the dollar.

This team bet big on existing players and lost.

Batum would have to be a swap between us and another poor contract. Dwight will have value as an expiring and Marvin would be useful on a contender.

Nic for DeMarre Carroll
Nic for Mozgov

Nic for Marco and Plumlee (would be beyond hilarious)
Nic for Wes Matthews
Nic for Wilson Chandler
Nic for Deng
Nic for Parsons
Nic for Asik
Nic for Evan Turner

The ones in bold are the ones i think are the most possible. Obviously Nic has played in Portland and the Nets just need some decent players.

a mega deal between us and the nets: Nets gets Nic and Dwight (they wanted him before) Charlotte gets Carroll, Mozgov and Lin.

They arent giving us Carroll or Parsons (both playing pretty well) for Nic Batum...

The rest of the guys are all worse than Batum but have deals with one less season on them... so i'd be forced to take those deals. Honestly Treveon Graham isn't even a dropoff from Batum at this point and it frees up more minutes for Lamb as well who is clearly superior

i dont know... kemba has a history of knee problems. If we offer 4/$150 or whatever thats a lot of money to leave up to chance

trade for Portis, resign Hansbrough and release them onto the league!

Under new coach Vernon Maxwell, this might work.

Trade for Paul George and pray to the Gods above that he falls in love with Charlotte.

Would take at least 2 draft picks IMHO. Tough to do.

Im not completely sure. I don't think teams are willing to give up too much for what is more than likely a rental.
