If this isn't worth a new topic you guys can delete it. Per Zach Lowe we tried to get Jimmy Butler from the Bulls, but they basically wanted nothing to do with any of our assets. Such is life as a Hornets fan.

And such is this roster. Too many average players - i am being nice - , and the best are either locked (Kemba/Cody i assume) or too old/expensive for a rebuilding team.
And that's the reason why reaching play offs is critical this year, as Howard and his expiring contract could fix a lot of things if he manages to look relevant during the off season.
But most of all this means that Hornets staff is not satisfied with their sg and want to get an elite (two ways) sg... This has been so obvious for last couple of years, let's just hope for you fans that they succeed during next off seaosn (or earlier if something happens with Bradley or another).

I don't know if it was ever officially reported, but there was definitely a lot of guys out there saying the Hornets could be a suitor for him. Bulls seemed like they were more interested in potential upside and we just don't have a lot of guys with big ceilings.

If this were the case, then they should trade Lamb asap. If he's not in the future plans and we already have Monk waiting in the shadows, get some value for him, whether that is a draft pick or a backup pg.

I would've loved to hear that conversation.
Chicago GM: Hello?
Cho: Hey, this is Rich Cho. So I hear you're entertaining offers for Jimmy Butler?
Chicago: Yeah...
Cho: Great. So how about Frank Kaminsk *click*-y, hello? Hello? I think I lost you, must be a bad connection.

Not surprised they didn't want our stuff.
Was probably a couple picks, Mkg, lamb and cody.

Pathetic. Cousins and Butler were traded for practically nothing and we couldn't even make the deals because we have less than nothing

Some fans complain that our FO isn’t active in getting involved in trade talk when “name” players come onto the market.
When it comes to light that Our FO does get involved, some fans still complain.
Interesting.

We’re not complaining. We’re laughing at our assets and how the phone call likely went.

I think this "info" was dropped now to paint the front office as "trying" to make us better in the midst of our stink. Results, not trying, is what counts.
