Agreed. Unfortunately, I do not see any significant improvements resulting. Do you think Coach Silas has the guts to start Lamb and put Batum on the second team?

Nope. There's 20+ million reasons Batum will continue to start and drag us into 4 more years of mediocrity. The same reason why we won't be able to resign Lamb after next year. Congrats Cho!

Cho is likely gone after this year when his contract run out. I doubt they renew his contract unless something amazing and out of the ordinary happens.

I expect them to trade Batum either at the February deadline or around draft day. Something like the George Hill exchange makes too much sense so it might not happen.

It’s crazy how if Batum never would’ve gotten injured most people and fans would still consider Lamb nowhere near as good of a player. But if you compared Lamb’s career stats to Batum’s it’s actually kinda close but considering circumstances I’d give Lamb the edge as the better player lol. Another case of injuries kinda being a blessing in disguise for this organization forcing their hand to try something they’d otherwise wouldn’t smh.

Treveon Graham's contract estimated at $1.3 million for the remainder of the season to become guaranteed if he'll be in the roster for Dallas.

Happy it comes right after he was involved and made an impression in this West Coast trip. I think he has a potential to become more influential next year if he'll work hard in the off-season. His attitude seems better than Malik Monk's attitude.

there's no point to treveon on a team like this. i'm happy for him, but he's pointless tbh

also, looking forward to getting run off the court after a good week practice. a1

What do you mean? Like you don't think he's worth including in the rotation?

I think he deserves more PT and he could be a major answer for us as a 3&D wing.

answer for what? his ceiling doesn't change the ceiling of this team and it also alters our floor at the same time.

looking at graham's realistic best, there's no way he's forcing lamb or batum or even marvin out of the lineup under any circumstance. at the same time he's not pushing this team over any of the clear humps or hurdles in its way. we're not even a .500 team its not like he's 'deserving' of pt on a deep playoff squad like jonathan simmons was last year or something. he's just shown he's a competent NBA player. and that's ok.

but what's a 3 and d guy on a tiny contract for a middling team with clear and plain investments in better players? tradeable is what he is.

im happy for him, but he's already achieved the most likely success he's going to attain on this team by locking up that contract. he's a short term fix to a problem we already have several long term solutions for. each of those long term solutions needs to be examined with full honesty, success of failure, before a guy like graham gets propped up or thrown into the equation.

I see us winning this one big. The Mavs are horrible and they don't match up well.

Don't understand that take about Graham at all. He's solid bench depth. I'm not saying he should start, but he should absolutely stay in the rotation. Who cares whether we have investments in other players? We could use a stable wing presence with our bench and the only person that he is in the way of right now is Bacon.

Trading him doesn't make sense because (a) he's an UFA and no one knows who he is and (b) he provides a helpful skillset off the bench.

I thought Graham was a RFA this summer?

But your point stands. Whether you're rebuilding or competing, guys who shoot it as well as Graham and defend well do not grow on trees. I would consider him a legitimate asset that has value, we just need to get him consistent playing time.

Graham looks good at times (when he scores his 3's, he has like no midrange game at all), but that's mostly because of who he is playing with and who he is replacing.
There are much better 3D's in the league, and not necessary much more expensive. Bacon has the potential to be much better atthe very least, as long as he is well developed and on a tight leash offensively.

Need tough players, high character players, guys who hate to lose - i mean for real, not the usual bs we hear during itw's... - and who do'nt play just to avoid losing which is basically the case since last season. This team should be the agressor, instead you have the usual victims who get dunk'd, cross'd over with basically no one with enough pride to send a message (not in a violent way, but for sure i wish we could see one day some tough fouls from anyone not named Howard).

Dallas game might be interesting if Curry plays. He might be (again) an option as backup.

In his pre game presser Silas says if DAL goes small with their second unit he's thinking we'll go MCW - Monk - Lamb - Graham - Frank. Like it.

this is easily our best backup unit with Cody out (except with Stone in place of MCW of course)

MCW - Lamb - Graham - Frank - O'Bryant seems better.

Neither Monk nor JOB are super exciting, but if one of them is going to be jacking up shots I'll take Monk shooting C&S threes off ball as opposed to JOB's elbow jumpers that he loves so much.

When will Cody Zeller return to play?
