Is it time to blow up this team? Yes or No?

YES it's well past time. The best trade partner is the Knicks
Kemba and Batum for their young stud 2 guard+Jack /fillers and 2018 unprotected first.
That gives us 2 lottery picks in top 10.

Depends on what you mean. Send everyone out? I'm not on board. However this mix of players + Cliff's system isn't working. I'm in favor of some sort of change, even if it means Kemba has to go.

I'm most interested in a complete basketball operations overhaul that excludes the players. Coaches, GM, Asst. GM, scouts, medical staff, trainers, water boys, sweat moppers, everybody. Until we at least change coaches and FO we're treading water at best. I don't think there's much retooling we can do with this roster right now anyway so blowing it up from that standpoint is sub optimal unless new decision makers come in.
I'm not optimistic that we'd find a good deal for Kemba but I'd do it if there was.

I think the way how we finish this season and whether we fire Cho and/or Clifford after the season will determine a lot.
I’m expecting Cho not to be renewed whether we make the playoffs or not. I can see Clifford remaining coach for another year to finish out his contract extension if we end this season somewhat respectable. If we end this season ugly and embarrassing then Clifford will likely be gone too.
As far as the new GM to succeed Cho I’m wondering if MJ will do the lazy thing and just plug in his old buddy Buzz Peterson who’s already assistant GM or if he’ll go out there and try to hire a known name GM like David Griffin formerly of the Cavs or a up and coming assistant GM of one of the hot topic teams.

We're not getting rid of Batum without giving up picks guys

We could take on another bad contract, but it would have to be as bad as Batums. Only Noah fits that imo. Thus, Kemba and Batum to Knicks for Noah and whatever young prospects/picks we can get would be probably best case for the future. Although, I'm not sure how on board their fanbase would be after finally getting rid of Melo's terrible contract.
Biyambo is probably the only other player in the league with a contract as bad as Batums. I just don't see a trade we could make there though.

Almost there. If this team cannot turn it around by the end of January, then yes. Just in terms of fairness, Kemba Walker deserves to play on a contender, and not spend his career on a merry-go-round of bad contracts and inflexible coaching.

I don’t even think it’s about Kemba deserving to be on a contender as much as possibly losing Kemba to free agency the following offseason for nothing and he becomes less valuable as a trade asset as a 1-year rental on a expiring next season.

I know. Just looking at it from a pure fan's perspective. We're doing okay tonight, though.

I think we should trade Batum, Dwight, Marv, and MKG to GS for Curry, KD, and Klay. Totally works in the Trade Checker too:
https://basketball.realgm.com/tradechecker/saved_trade/6992460Although since we're getting only three players back, they have to send us a pick too, preferably Orlando's 1st round pick that GS doesn't have.
Where's that green font button...

I'm just making daily blood sacrifices that Cho doesn't get desperate and make another Plumlee-esque trade to get that precious 8th seed.

Yes, it is time....need to rebuild this roster, different GM, different coaches, and better player development. Batum will be the hardest to move, but it can be done. I don't want to trade any of our pics, and I would like to keep Monk and Bacon if possible. Kemba only gets traded if we find the right value.

Agreed, We need a change at GM at the very least but not to trade the whole team away. We'll probably get another Top 10 pick and just like every year we've said it will be critical to swing for the fences but Cliff is tough on rookies so we are in a jam. I'm trying not to bash Cliff after reading Woj's story about how much work he puts in and why he was away but something has to change.

Something tells me that if we get a new GM besides Buzz Peterson that he’ll have Clifford on a short leash and if we’re not above .500 around mid-to-late December he’ll be quick to fire Clifford.
Honestly Clifford is more responsible for this losing season than Cho but Cho is responsible for us not having the the assets and flexibility to change it.

Fire Cho, Clifford and start over at the top. Trade the usual suspects we’ve been talking about, But hold onto young building blocks. Kemba is the wild card, but might need to deal if the return is good enough.

The problem is that we need a top 5 pick this year, not just a top 10 pick. There are 5 or 6 really good prospects at the top of the draft. We are not making any noise this year, and need a shot at a franchise changing player.

Howard/O"bryant to Cavs for Tristan Thompson/Frye and 2018 Brooklyn pick owned by Cavs.

Walker/stone to Knicks for Jack/ Hermangomez and Knicks 2018 first
That gives us 3 lottery picks and Jack at point/ Thompson at center

If Cho gets changes I proposed before deadline keep him...if not fire him now...then see what Clifford does starting from now until season ends.500> keep him.......500< fire him. It's important how new group responds under him. Bassman's got it right..

There's nothing Cho can do to redeem himself IMO. Let him do his best job to trade bad contracts for assets and cap space then let him move on with a handshake and a "kinder than it should be" job reference.
