Cho's time in Charlotte was over the second he cut short the tank and signed Al Jefferson. That move worked against Cho's philosophy of building through the draft and making smart trades and cost-efficient free agent signings. But Jordan pressured him to win now, so the tank was short-circuited. You could tell Cho's heart wasn't in it from thereon, because, even though he remained smart in trades and looking for the reclamation project, he was following someone else's philosophy (Jordan's), not his own.

In the end, the best Cho could do was trade for a potential star in Batum and hope his other moves could produce a playoff team. The cap explosion in 2016 didn't help. Oh, and then there's Steve Clifford.

Rich Cho. Poor guy never had a chance.

He never had a chance because his philosophy of building through the draft failed through constant missed picks.

Not sure if this is just based off the Woj report, but Reed normally waits until an official statement.

Which NBA team picks up Cho first? I'll wait.

It would have to be one that doesn't care about the draft.

Big Al wasn't the problem. I guarantee Kemba wouldn't have even resigned if it wasn't for big al coming here. The problem is we draft mediocre players. I love MKG as a person he seems like a really good dude but common man. 6 years in the NBA and still can't hit a 3. He gotta go. Same goes with Frank. And don't even get me started on Batum. Cody is a really solid player and i grown to love his game but at #4 overall that was a big wiff.

Buzz will be our GM within 3 years time. If not sooner.

Agree with most of this but Cody a whiff at 4? Uh, no.

I think it was Yosemiteben who used to give me the most crap about my criticism of Cho.

I challenged you as well I’m sure, I can’t put all the blame on him.

He convinced mj to tank once but was then told never again.

I hated the frank pick, I wish mkg went somewhere else so we could’ve seen his development elsewhere.

Big Al was our biggest free agent for years, no one wanted to sign here.

7 years is a decent stint, would have made him a millionaire as well
