I'm just in awe that Clifford went through entire season of the team massively under performing, while his job may have been on the line, and didn't at any point make a single substantive change to the teams rotation or strategy.

This is great. I always felt good about Monks fit here because I thought Kemba would be the perfect mentor for him.

:banghead: Maybe the problem is that the players are in the wrong position to begin with. I'm going to guess he's referencing Monk, Lamb, Frank, and Howard on stretch 5s. No player is going to be perfect and it's the coaches job to utilize his team's strengths and adjust properly. Cliff didn't do that. I'm really tired of his song and dance.

Clifford has been dropping these statements throughout the season. I feel like he wants to retire but wants to be fired so that he gets his money next season.

He doesn’t sound like a coach fighting to keep his job, that’s for sure. He knows that performance is the ultimate measurement. Kupchak repeated the often used and accurate phrase “you are what your record says you are”. Well, Cliff said this team had little to no spirit, and was talented but underperformed. Your coaching is what your team says it is. Time to go. One year with pay to relax and figure out what’s next.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

That could mean 2 things.

1- He knows he is screwed
2- He knows he is safe

Obviously #2 would be catastrophic

Yep, Cliff has been incredibly zen about his job performance. He seems to know what's coming, he's just not telling.
