I want to like Trae Young, but his efficiency absolutely cratering against good competition makes me hesitate. So I voted for Carter, it's hard not to like a high IQ player with both skill and size. If he stays healthy he'll likely be a starter in the league for a long time.

I feel like he is Trey Burke. Based on zero research of course.

I think we've reached the point where it wouldn't make sense to trade major value to move up for any of the remaining guys. Based on my little knowledge of this class, I'm fine with selecting whichever of Carter, Young, Mikal Bridges, SGA, or Sexton falls to us. There probably isn't a situation in which all those guys are gone.

I'd go Wendell Carter here, not the super athletic center that most teams want but Boston's doing fine with Al Horford in the middle

Horford is the perfect comparison for Carter.

If Carter is Horford, I'd put him in the top-three. Hornets would've won an additional 10+ games this year w/ Horford instead of Dwight.

Carter reminds me a bit of Pau Gasol. Not super athletic but really fundamental. Can finish with both hands in post, good outside shot, his passing was big for the high low game of duke all year, and defensively he does a good job of going straight up.

He is this years guy I think is super solid but don’t know if the pick would get me hyped

I'm sure Carter is good and all, but the dumbass comments his mother made have me a bit turned off

For elite basketball players like Carter that are worth millions on the open market the college game is a racket. However, for the large majority of scholarship athletes that will never make millions of dollars playing professionally the college game is great. Comparing the college game to slavery is a bit much, but she's right that people like her son shouldn't be forced to work for much, much less than they're worth for a year. Thankfully, the NBA is about to do away with the one and done rule. It will greatly benefit both the NBA and college basketball and I'm happy that it's finally going to happen.

If he really is that good, then maybe I'd put him in the tier above with the guys I might consider trading up for. I'll talke a potential Horford

I will be thrilled with either Carter or SGA.
