Hornets seem one of the easiest teams to get along with so it really says something that he had such problems here. Was he demanding the ball in the post and refusing to set screens for PnRs (which he is actually good at)?
Demanding the ball in the post was an issue. Ball movement pretty much stopped when that happened and it happened a lot.
Dwight was really bad at PnRs. He failed to set hard screens and rolled hard too early looking to score or at least get a rebound and putback. Can't emphasize how bad he was at this.
Dwight's D was really bad in a lot of cases. He failed to contest shots by driving guards, he would drop back looking for the rebound. He wouldn't go to defend the perimeter. Not sure if this was all him - Cliff's system may have highlighted some of these weaknesses. He was good against other strong post players.
Dwight is rarely serious and that pissed off a lot of the more serious dudes like Kemba and Marvin. Some folks here thought it was a bad example for the rookies too.
Those were some of the problems, but it wasn't all bad. Dwight worked hard many games. He did rebound well. His post defense was good against other big men.
