Hes bulked up a lot since they drafted him and has very nice combo forward size. Hes at least 6'8" with a 6'11" wingspan and I've seen listed weights between 215 to as high as over 230. Hes still only 23. It would be huge if he pushed the Martins out of the rotation.

rather he push mcdaniels out. i'm fine w/ cody in rotation. always need good wing defenders. but dont need both twins, skills are largely redundant. cody better defender/passer, so he can stay.

I have very irrationally high hope for this kid. I know next to nothing about him but i really want to see him succeed. I hope he comes over next year and lights it up

If he does nothing but shoot 3's at 40% at his size and frame he is already better than the Martin twins

We need functional offense and shooting, not space filling jack of all trade players like the twins, IMO
I don't support domestic violence. Thanks Miles

I admit I havent seen a second of Kulboka this past season, but having sense of what level of team he has been playing, looking at his stats and the fact he wasnt even national team camp invite, he looks exactly like Deividas Sirvydis 2.0, a guy who is nowhere close to NBA level, but for one reason or another, will brush elbows with other NBA bench warmers for a few years. Wouldn't expect anything from him really if I was you guys, but I hope I am wrong.

Are you really a believer? I mean a 6'10 guy who can spot up and shoot 3 might not be useless, but what has he proven in Spain to be on NBA team right now?

There are multiple players like him on every team, young players with a potential to carve out a role on a given team. None of those players have proven anything in Spain either.

I would love to see him succeed too, but the only things he has going for him is being able to shoot and being tall. He needs to either also become a playmaker or become somewhat good on defence. Remember Gelo can also shoot and he’s part of the puzzle to keeping Melo. I’m not sure this guy makes it but I hope he proves me wrong.

Before we get ahead of ourselves, could this mean that we sign him, but with the intent of a season in Greensboro?

The potential is there, but agreed that he is far from ready for NBA minutes and/or taking a bench roster spot. It will have been 3 years this draft year since he was taken, and at 23 years old, there is something to be said about bringing him over to the US.

He doesn't need to be a playmaker or defender, just be a great shooter. Davis Bertans would be our best bench wing, Kulboka can do that if he can adjust.

Kulboka isn't going to be a star, but he never was selected to be a star.

He has played the last two years in the Spanish Liga ACB which is the second-best league in the world.

He averaged 23 mpg, 9.2 ppg, 4 rpg while making 2 threes a game at 42.5%. Not bad for a 23 yr old playing at that high of a level.

How much better do you want him to play before bringing him over?

All teams can use a 6'10 guy that can shoot 40% from 3.

Can he shoot 40% in the NBA? And there are plenty of guys who can shoot the ball in the NBA. Generally to last you need to do something other than just shoot. I don’t disagree 6 foot 10 shooting 40% from three is a bad thing, but watch Bertans shoot and then this guy shoot. Bertans will pull up from 30 ft and hit them. He’s one of the best in the league in long distant threes. Kulboka will need to become more fluid. He just appears too robotic for me.
