If we could do it, then it would be a great move. I would give up anyone on the team except maybe Bridges. Any other package would work, even more so if it meant moving Batum.

Kemba with Beal works sooo much better than Wall and Beal. Kemba spaces the floor with 40+% 3Pt shooting, plus he is a LOT better off ball. Wall just stands there with his hands on his shorts.

Batum, Monk, 1st rounder and a 2nd rounder sounds like fair value.

Give them whatever they want outside Miles

Dare I allow myself to get excited about adding Bradley Beal? Probably not smart, but also probably too late.

BRB, I'm going to go create a custom Beal jersey at the Hornets online store to match the Beal and Hugo tattoo I'm getting this afternoon.

I would be a very happy boy if we manage to get Beal while dumping Nic and not trading anything more than a couple 1sts.

Nic or Marv + a 1st for Beal would be a massive steal.

This would be exciting! Please let Christmas come early this year! A Kemba + Beal backcourt would be incredible!

Maybe Washington's GM who has a dubious history is dumb enough to do that deal. I however remain skeptical that Washington would trade anything of value to Charlotte, their most likely division winner if they make such a trade

I think Batum or Marvin, a 1st rounder, plus a talent like Monk, or maybe Bacon instead if they value him is what it will take. They won't move for Marvin and a 1st. They could get better from someone like Phoenix, or the Lakers for that. That extra young player is what will be needed. As long as it's not Bridges then i can live with it. Kemba, Beal, and an improving Bridges is a good start at getting off the treadmill.

It's good to hear Mitch is doing his due diligence. We don't have the most attractive assets, but who knows, he swung some great trades in LA.

This screams Hornets beat writer dreams, not anything substantial. SAS would have taken Beal over Derozan for Kawai. No chance they take our pupu platter

I like this one a lot. Plus, Washington can say they got 2 recent lottery picks and a #1 out of it.

Beal insulting the front office in front of the the team and it leaking to the press could be a factor. It wouldn't seem out of character for Grunfeld to act petty and irrational and just try to get rid of him quickly rather than holding out for the best deal.

I also think Washington was one of the teams that was rumored to be interested in throwing a big offer at Batum if he didn't resign with us, so he might have some slight positive value to Washington since the contracts are equal. Maybe Bacon has a little trade value as well?

Probably the most favorable deal for us I could imagine happening, unless Grunfeld is just that dumb, would be something like Batum (or Marv + Lamb) + Bacon + 2019 1st (top 10 or so protection) + 2020 2nd (CLE) + 2020 2nd (BKN/NY).

Washington fans would burn down the stadium, literally

Like literally the stadium would be set on fire and it'd be in the news and the Wiz would have to play at UM or Georgetown in the meantime

The problem is Washington is going to want a lot of draft picks. It's a risk but it's a necessary risk. Kemba & Beal. Find a way to add Warren and that is a top team in the East and best Charlotte team ever.
The Charlotte Hornets will win their first round series against the Boston Celtics in the 2021 Playoffs

Beal is honestly a pretty low level all-star. I lean towards thinking he can do better in a healthier situation with a better team/coach, but hes still a bit unproven in that sense. Hes definitely not on Butlers level yet and most probably don't even consider him on Kyries level. Neither of those guys netted a big god father offer.

I would have definitely preferred Beal to Derozen, but I dont know that its certain that SA did, and that deal happened before the full on implosion in Washington started and this all became a big public mess.
