I saw us up a little bit at half on the scoreboard and tuned in, fully aware that in doing so, they would inevitably lose the lead like usual. I am pleasantly surprised that did not happen. The Spurs didn't seem to be playing especially well, but they were still making baskets up until the last few minutes, but the difference was we were converting on offense (finally) and actually got some defensive stops for once.

I know the Spurs were missing some guys (and we were missing Cody), but this team just played harder tonight than they had been. Especially on D.

Awesome win. Finished what will probably be the most difficult road trip of the season 2-4, but still in firm control of a playoff spot. I like how the team responded in Sacramento and then tonight, rather then packing it in after getting blasted by Portland the effort remained high.

Since we have already lost, according to the fans, perhaps the Hornets should take an early plane home and forfeit.

Good thing they played, after all. Plus, they got a win for Tony Parker.

Was this team lacking motivation the past month or so?

Kemba definitely but I’d say more like over the past 2 weeks than the past month. We go as Kemba go and it showed.

Biz did a good job defending LMA and MKG did a great job defending DeRozan.

We almost lost control of the game when JB kept bringing Willy in the game. The Spurs attacked his PnR defense and Patty Mills caught fire.

Biz is our only big who can do defensive big things.

This is why I get queasy whenever I see Biz thrown into "get Kemba some help" trades scenarios.
