I think he will cause I think he a loyal guy will stick with us no matter what and we pay him the max deal he deserves.

If MJ gives him a max deal he'll stay, otherwise though he'll be playing in LA or NYC.

Gut feeling is that he is gone. I think that playoffs will be the deciding factor though.

No. If I had to narrow it down to percentages I got it at 80% leaving to 20% staying.
Only things that can dissuade him into staying is a miraculously unexpected deep playoff run where we beat MIL/TOR/PHI/BOS in the 1st round, a situation where a particular team doesn’t prioritize his free-agency decision putting him in limbo waiting for Kyrie, or God forbids a injury.

I think he does, but I’m so torn on this. He is the best hornet of all time and without him this team wouldn’t have a shot. With that said, this franchise is such a disaster I think it might be best to just bottom out. Giving Kemba a max deal will solidify us as finishing between 7-11 every year. I just have no faith in ownership and kupchak.

I've got more faith in kupchak after today if it was cho that was still the gm he would done somethign stupid like trading monk and briges for washed up players and put us further in the hole.

It's going to come down to how we finish the year. If it's a bad ending as I expect, he will take the offer to go play in LA or NY. The guy is loyal and all, but don't think he passes up an opportunity to truly make a name for himself while he is in his prime.

Yikes...I guess MJ fully intends to pay Kemba and keep the treadmill going.

Kupchak said trade-deadline behavior this week suggests some teams giving up on a playoff chase. He said that could help the Hornets win some games down the stretch of the regular season.
“Typically, sellers (teams giving up veteran talent at the trade deadline) will play their young players more toward the last third of the season,” Kupchak said. “If we stay healthy, even (when) we’re on the road, we’re hopeful we can take advantage of that.”

I think he might leave if he gets to a team with Durant or another MVP type player so he doesn't have to be the main guy. I think he will wait and see where other guys sign first before he makes his decision.

I think it's 60/40 he stays.
We end up in the 9th seed and miss the playoffs by a game or two, then I think that number increases to 85/15. He's being Cam Newton'd and the East is up for grabs. We weren't going to be in the top-3, but we could've at least competed in that next tier with a good move or two.
I hope he stays.... depends on where other players end up and where we end up after the regular season. I believe Kemba is telling the truth that Charlotte is 'his town' but this roster isn't going to look much different next year. Aging vets with bloated contracts, young guys with promise that just need the burn....and Kemba. No cap flexibility, a mediocre-at-best draft selection and huge gaps to fill.

I believe Kemba will resign with the Hornets...He likes the city and is the star on a team with very little NBA talent other than maybe the young guys. If he leaves, he will probably be the 2nd or 3rd option on a good team and his numbers will reflect that. Kemba likes being the top dog on a team even going back to his Connecticut days. I believe he understands that and it will be to the Hornets benefit. Just my thoughts.

I voted no. Charlotte fans that want to keep Kemba can only hope that Kyrie takes his time on deciding between the Knicks and Lakers or returning to Boston. Kemba seeing that he’s not a priority to the Knicks or Lakers over Kyrie could easily persuade him into returning to Charlotte.

Too early to tell. I don't think he's decided yet by any stretch, so there's still a possibility he stays

Through the first thirty or so games this season I was confident Kemba would be a Hornet for life. Over the last couple of months though something seems different, and while I can't quite put my hands on what it is, I'm now leaning towards him leaving.
