He's a horrible basketball player. Best fit in in leagues like the Chinese.
I think Ian is referring to me cuz I posted this on March 19 in the "If Kemba Leaves" thread:
sign rfa Emmanual Mudiay age 23 away from NYK who will presumably be focused on Dennis Smith, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant
this generation of PGs is 6'5 not 6'1; Mudiay brings size & physicality to draw fouls at game end
look at his numbers this yr not so bad
I'd target EMu to be Charlotte's next PG
Yeah man, if Kemba leaves the struggle is real. You just ticked off a list of guys who aren't coming here, plus less palatable options.
Bear in mind two things: one of this team's issues (for years) has been zero offensive physicality in game winning scenarios. We have no one who can draw a foul or even drive and kick at the end of a game. That has led to predictable easy to defend game end offense and years worth of losing close games. We could use a physical player who can draw and make foul shots at the end of a game so we're not 100% dependent on a 3 pt iso fling
and secondly, the last we saw of Mudiay he was hanging 34 pts on Kemba, just overpowering him with his size, leading the Knicks to a comeback overtime win, one of those stenchworthy losses that contributed to CHA missing the playoffs by one game
But it sounds like you've seen a lot more of Mudiay, so would you mind sharing the scouting report? If Kemba leaves we are gonna have to scramble. So, you're saying best fit Chinese league, does that mean he just doesn't do anything but score? What makes him horrible, are you sure it wasn't just the carwreck called the Knicks, and why do you think at 23 he's not going to get better? Thanks
