This is so huge for the Hornets. There were times he was the second best guy on the court last year.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

I don't blame him. What else does he have to play for? Go live the good life Tony.

Sucks we couldn't get him into the playoffs one last time. Glad he chose to play here though
I don't support domestic violence. Thanks Miles

Good news: Additional cap space next season

Bad news: If we don’t resign Kemba that puts our PG depth chart at Devonte.......and that’s about it.

Does he forfeit all of next seasion's $5M?

Is all $5M removed from the cap?

Yeah that pretty much would leave Monk as the backup. Scary!

If Kemba is not resigned, the Hornets can cost effectively maintain the PG spot.

Derrick Rose and Thomas Heurtel can fill the void.
Heurtel replaced Parker as the starter in French National team.

Maybe he can convince Batum to retire with him?

This is surprising move because I thought he'd play another year. Tony Parker was a great player and put up some unicorn stats on the Spurs. I don't think he made the team much better last year outside some offensive explosions on occasion.

Devonte Graham will get the chance to prove his worth unless MJ does the treadmill thing and trades for some middle of the pack backup PG like we normally do.
The Charlotte Hornets will win their first round series against the Boston Celtics in the 2021 Playoffs

This is a good thing for us. frees up a little cap space and while he was good offensively, he missed games and defended terribly.

As well as we played down the stretch, and as well as Graham played in a few of those games, I think we would have made the playoffs had we had Parker in there. It was during that time when several players were having their playing time screwed around with, so, I'm still not sure if he was really injured the entire time or if he just got benched or what the hell was going on. Sad that we couldn't have made the playoffs to keep his streak going...

I think we told TP we we're going to exercise his option and bring him back, he looked at this roster and team, and had zero confidence that we would be a contender, and he said, "Nah, I'm good"

knew there was about a 0% chance he was playing here next year anyway, but really thought he'd go back to SAS next year to wrap things up. Feels weird that he retired after this season
