Rumor Consolidation: Hornets interested in CP3 vs. Hornets interested in Wiggins

I don't put any confidence in either of these rumors, but I am curious about the board's sentiment on this question - if you had to do a swap with Batum, who would you rather return - CP3 or Wiggins?

CP3 for sure. Wiggins is a bum and I think has an extra year on Paul.

Batum/Marvin for CP3, and Biyombo/Zeller for Love. Keep our draft picks.

Gives us an older team but a 4 year window with Paul/Kemba/Bacon/Bridges/Love plus our draft picks. Maybe flip Monk and 12 for a 4/5 defender to play with Love and keep Bacon as the 6th man.

That’s like asking if you’d rather be killed with a hammer or an ice pick.

Both would suck and ultimately the end result would be the same.

part of me is good with trading batum for wiggins but I see the new car smell wearing off pretty quickly and being just as frustrated with wiggins (for different reasons) as I am with batum

For the record, I’d prefer to be killed with an ice pick over a hammer if those are my two options.

Im not sure why we want CP3, he is too old and plays PG like Kemba. Move Kemba to SG?

I would be ok with a Wiggins-Nic deal, but mostly because it gets rid of Nic.

In the opposite. We probably can at least get 1 or 1 and a half good seasons with Paul. Wiggins is probably zero, but sometimes a change in scenery can help.

I guess Paul would play the 1 on offense and 2 on defense. Paul is actually a decent defender against larger opponents. I’m guessing this would be the shortest backcourt since the Detroit Pistons of the late 80s.

CP3 would energize the fans more, as he is a local guy. But I feel like he wants to go to LA, he is still in ring chasing mode. I have expected he would play here one day, but when he is nearing retirement.

Wiggins is a Batum that shoots more but has the same percentages. Why would you guys want that for that 2 more years past Batum/Zeller.

Paul is one more year than Batum+Zeller and a way better player, regardless of age.

What kind of odds will give me on both Obeisie and Cook going undrafted? I think there is over a 50% it happens.

Baron Davis and Wesley?

Avery Bradley as 2 guard was always small, still bigger than CP3
