We’ll probably attempt something like 2 years/16 million or 3 years/30 million. If he keeps improving, and is crucial to the team’s bench, we need to retain him. He’s doing well enough to actually keep what I think is a promising rookie, on the bench.

I was definitely one of the ones who talked sh*t on Cody Martin in the past and I think some of it was warranted... I mean he was legitimately bad on offense, but it looks like he's really put in the work this offseason

Last season per 36 - 8.8 pts on 44 fg% and 27.6% from three
This season per 36 - 14.8 pts on 57 fg% and 33.3% from three

If he can keep it up (especially the 3p%) he'll be an excellent fit for what this team is trying to do

Can we just pretend that Twin #1 is Kidd-Gilchrist and we're finally getting the return we had hoped we would when we drafted Kidd-Gilchrist?

Cody getting write-ups now:

A charge occurs when an offensive player makes significant contact with a defensive player that has an established position, provided the latter is outside of the restricted circle. If the defensive player is not in the proper position – his feet or torso are moving – it’s a blocking foul. Through Sunday’s action, Martin is tied for second in the NBA in charges drawn this season with seven, a number already halfway to his career high of 14 set as a rookie.

Is it possible to play Cody and McDaniels 48 minutes each? Because I feel like good things happen on both ends when those two are in the game.

interestingly, both are among the only 5 Hornets players with a positive BPM this year.

I’m okay with signing him to something like a 4yr/24mil…maybe a 4yr/32mil.

Love seeing Cody get proper respect. I so thrilled he's in our rotation and making things happen. He's a stud. Hope we hang on to him.

For the right price, he's a long-term piece for sure.

going back to the beginning of this thread to read has been fun

this has actually become surprisingly accurate. He's turned into what Steve Clifford seemed to think MCW was

Lol. Afraid to see what all I've said about Cody. I use to despise him and his brother. That being said I was wrong. Again. I'm wrong a lot about this team.

Feels like he is starting to get a bit overrated on this board.

What is your offer to him this summer look like?

if we don't trade Bouknight for a center I don't get why we keep him, we didn't draft Bouk in the lottery to be a 0mpg player his whole tenure here did we?
