Yeah, I think I need a break from this. When you start seeing fans on Twitter saying they would consider trading Rozier for Bertans and two second round picks it is probably time to find a better way to spend my time.

"Hey would you rather pay Bertans 33 million for the next two years to sit on the bench and never play? Or pay Rozier 5 million more to average 20 points and play 30 mpg?" Swear fans act like they are the ones paying players sometimes.

lol you can't even sign a rotation player with the money you would save.

If we draft Scoot, trading Rozier goes from being something we could consider to something we must do. I see no way three ball dominant guards who are all projected to be poor defenders can absorb 100% of the guard minutes which would have to be the case in order to get each of them 32 mins.

That would leave DSJ, McGowens, Bouk and Martin really struggling to find minutes, let alone if we took any other guards with our other picks.

If we don't draft Scoot, we could probably still find a way to trade Rozier as well or maybe we start a more defensive minded guard between Miller and Ball and finally let Rozier be the 6th man.

Agreed wholeheartedly. Rozier needs to go but should be able to command some measure of value in return. He's too good to just be written off as a salary dump.

Not much of a market for undersized scoring guards who don't play defense on big contracts

I'd want to trade him eventually but wouldn't be in a hurry. See how the rookie looks and if we stay healthy, and if so move at the ASB.

I feel like I've seen several teams in the playoffs this year that could have used a Terry coming off the bench

Thankfully there are a few teams like the Suns and Clippers who have owners who want to win right now and are impatient and also good fits for Terry

Terry and Richards for Chris Paul makes too much sense for both teams, Charlotte can just cut Paul and eat the 15M salary if Paul refuses to play, or he can start with LaMelo til Scoot is ready, or we can flip Paul to another team that might need him like the Nets, Heat, Clippers, Spurs, Lakers, etc.
I don't support domestic violence. Thanks Miles

So Mavs are probably trading 10 to appease Luka. Any chance Terry is worth a 10th pick? Mavericks fans are delusionally thinking they can get Siakam, or Kuminga for 10.
Your Charlotte Hornets! We’ll eventually get something right;right?

Would LOVE to get pick 10 via a Terry trade…go ahead and include a second round pick with it. Heck, I’d probably give them Terry and that dreadful 27th pick for 10.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

No way the Mavs give the 10th pick for Rozier.

Yep, if we want the 10th pick trading PJ Washington is the only semi-realistic way that's happening.

not possible since he's a RFA and the draft happens before that

No reason a trade couldn't be done after the draft, although that's rare.

it would be tampering with a FA

How would it be tampering if a trade was agreed to during the free agency negotiation period?

because who's picking at #10? If Dallas picks for us, a week before the draft, that's a blatant admission to tampering. If Dallas picks for themselves, it may not be who we wanted.

Literally hopped on here thinking we traded Rozier for the 10th pick. I remember when we traded the 8thish (maybe?) Pick for Jason Richardson. Was such a Charlotte thing. Although he did average 21 or so and bombed away from 3.

They'd probably pick Hendricks or Dick, either one works for me.
