Who should be our top 3 scoring options?

Post#1 » by JDR720 » Mon Jul 1, 2019 5:29 am

So, with Kemba, Lamb and Tony gone. This team lost its top 3 scoring options (debatable on Tony). What do our options look like this season?

Going to take a guess and say

1- Rozier (mostly chucking)
2- Monk (also mostly chucking)
3- Miles

Screw it man. We have the worst roster in the league so we might as well experiment. I wanna see what Bacon, Monk, Miles, and even PJ can do as primary options (Marv and Terry are gonna average 15 and 20 shots a night aren’t they?)

this is what we want, but it won't be what we get.

Rozier will get the most shots and they will try and get Batum/Marv to shoot more

Maybe Batum will wake up and now actually be a facilitator for the young guys since Kemba was a ball dominant guard. Wishful thinking probably and I don't look forward to seeing those lazy a** passes that turn into turnovers.

Our best hope is that since next year is a weak free agent class he'll actually try next season to get one last long-term deal. Then he'll opt out and sign with another team and we can throw a parade.

Slam why you so mad?

You think having Kemba back at 35 million a year gets off the treadmill?

I'm not mad? I'm cool.

Nope. I'm good with not paying him 5/$200mil.

I think it's Rozier and Bacon (starters) with Monk as the scoring punch off the bench. It's going to have be more egalitarian now that Kemba is gone, in some ways maybe that will be helpful. The young guys are going to have to spread their wings now, no more letting Kemba pound the ball for 16 seconds and then jack up a contested jumper to close out the last 4min of every game.

Should, or will be? "Should" implies that we, or more specifically the organization, has a say in the matter. I'll go with the inefficient chucker @ 17 ppg on horrific %'s, Bacon @ 15ppg and CZ @ 14 ppg.

Dont hate him. Just do not think he has the legnth, and does not have the skill yet to be an effective score in the NBA. I and I am sure our front office are really wishing we picked up SGA last year.

I expect Rozier & Bacon to have the best averages at this point. Will wait to finish until after all trades & FA signings are done.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody
