CLE getting Allen has interesting Charlotte implications, Drummond is averaging 31 MPG and Allen is averaging 27 MPG. Would love to help them balance their roster.

This is a wild trade to process. Harden is probably worth it in a vacuum and I'm seeing lots of Houston fans upset about the return they got, but at the same time, if I was Brooklyn I probably would have rather kept Allen and hopefully some of those picks and moved Kyrie instead.

Kyrie couldn't handle being second fiddle to Lebron, so I'm not sure how he is going to handle being the third option now. Seems like it could be a disaster waiting to happen, especially considering Kyrie is already starting **** right now. I am hearing some rumblings that Houston didn't actually want Kyrie though, which would make it make more sense. I wonder if Brooklyn tries to move Kyrie in a separate deal to try to recoup some of the depth and picks they lost. They are really lacking at center now and their only good defender is coming off a nasty achilles tear.

The Pacers are so savvy. They snuck in this deal and managed to get a 26 year old LeVert on a team friendly long term contract for a guy they knew was bolting after this season. They are so scrappy and always finding ways to get value in deals like this and they have a history of getting guys like LeVert and them breaking out and playing the best basketball of their career for them.

Yeah love the deal for them. They did take on 25 million in salary for Prince this season and next season too.

We need to be on the phone with them now trying to poach one of their bigs.

PF- Love- Nance
C- Allen- Drummond-McGee- Maker

Nance is only 6-7? Can he play Center? Big fan of his skillset.

I think Cleveland loves Nance because of the connection with his dad, so I doubt they'd move him, but he would definitely be my target for this team. His skillset is perfect for this system, although he doesn't help quite as much in some of our main problem areas right now.

Guessing McGee is the one who will be available. Hes super meh, but would be a fine pickup for depth if he was really cheap.

Wacky trade.

Agree we should be on the phone with CLE - like now.

The Brooklyn Cerberus; home of the three-headed ego beast. The possibilities with these three - good & bad - boggle the mind.

Heck I would would consider swapping them Monk for Maker and a 2nd rounder
He still has potential as a floor running big

Monk for Nance would be solid.

Not sure the specifics of salary fillers etc without looking, but I would love that value.

I wasn't even thinking of Nance initially, but now that you put that in my head I really want him on this team.

He is averaging 10/6/4 with 2 steals and shooting over 40% from the 3pt on 4 attempts per game so far this season. Hes a very good short roll passer, good defender, solid shooter, great locker room guy, smart player, and he just turned 28.

Hes listed at 6'7", but was 6'7.5" barefoot at the combine and has a 7'1.5" wingspan, so he has the length to player center (very similar to PJ). He would be a super nice pickup if it was possible.

He is on a super reasonable 3/30 deal too.

Cavs released Maker and Yogi to complete trade

Even better. Get him in here for a tryout Mitch!

I just got out of a meeting and saw this trade. I am 100% having a hard time getting my head around it!

All I know is that I have LeVert and Nance on my keeper fantasy team so I'm not sure how LeVert going to Indy and Allen going to the Cavs will impact me.

And they said 2020 was a difficult year. This trade has put 2021 firmly behind the 8 ball.

Neither one is looking like a consistent All Star so ideally you'd move on from both and keep rolling the dice until you find a better player.

Melo, Hayward, PJ (OR) Miles, Devonte (OR) Rozier, work from there. Replace as better options present themselves

I mean it all depends on the money. Just because a guy isn't a starter doesn't mean you can't retain him.

What are some good contract comps that you can make for these guys?

What I don't want to see is what they did in the past, give a bunch of guys 4-5 years at 10-15 million just because it's fair market value or whatever.

Most good teams have a mix of big contract guys and cheap (or rookie deal) guys. Very rarely is value to be found in that 10-15million range unless its some guy on a second contract who was a late(r) bloomer like Kemba.

At some point, you have to be cool with moving on from guys. It isn't hard to find an athletic wing who can hit open shots and play average-ish defense.

I would sign PJ over Bridges as long as the recent weight gain was a covid related fluke and not an indication of laziness/booze/lack of commitment

I would VERY much like Nance on our roster.

He is a great mover of the ball, legit rim defender and would be a sensational above rim target for LaMelo.

I actually almost mentioned Nance as a trade target for us the other day.

Once again, the star players congregate together, to the detriment of parity around the league. No surprise that Durant is involved once again.

How unlikeable did Brooklyn just become?

Kyrie AND Harden on the same team?

I have friends who think Brooklyn is dumb for making this trade. If the goal isn't to get three top 15 players in the league on the same then what are we doing? LOLThey are going to be in the finals probably at least 2 times in the next four years.

Most likely Allen was going to leave Brooklyn this offseason anyways, so selling him now was pretty much top value. Once he gets overpaid this summer, his trade value is going to be rather Meh.

LeVert is a really good player, but Harden is 3x better.

Chances are all three picks they gave up end up being after the 20th pick and most likely worse than that.

Lastly, the swaps are whatever. Houston doesn't own their own picks so it is going to improve much when their best assets are these late firsts from Brooklyn.

Think all in all Brooklyn got a steal and Houston is really dumb for not trading for Simmons, he would of at least gave them someone to build around.

Three extremely ball dominant players is usually not a recipe for success. Kyrie and Harden are also both selfish one-way players with bad attitudes. I'm not quite so bullish on them. I think Boston, Milwaukee and Philly can take them.
