First preseason game is on 10/6, so basically in two weeks. I'm excited for the season to start, but 100% will not be watching preseason.

I am looking forward to preseason to see our rookies play. Also to see what the two players I drafted in last years draft will do. We play the sixers (Zhiarre Smith) and memphis (YuTa Watanabe). I really wanna see their development due to they didn't really play last year.

The only thing I ever want to see out of the preseason is no one getting hurt.

That said, I want to see PJ Washington playing basketball in a Hornets uniform. It's always fun to see guys play for the team for the first time.

I've done it, and it was much more noticeable than Monk's "transformation"

I will be interested to see whether any of the non-guaranteed or Exhibit 10 guys stick
13 guaranteed contracts leaves six guys competing for one or two remaining roster spots:

Joe Chealey
Caleb Martin
Jalen McDaniels
Josh Perkins
Kobi Simmons
Thomas Welsh

I'm going to start calling him "Corey Maggette 2.0".

Or perhaps "the other Graham twin - Joey, Stephen and......Malik".

:-?

FWIW (absolutely nothing) Kobi Simmons almost always ends up developing into a quality backup PG, sometimes even starter, in 2K18 and 2K19. The first thing I do when playing GM is to scoop him up because for whatever reason the 'random' growth always favors him. I assume it's because his height allows him to play both guard spots - at least on 2K. Kobi has been a key cog on many fictional Charlotte title teams.

The first thing I thought when I saw us give him a camp invite is that Mitch's grandson must be giving him scouting reports from the PlayStation

Corey 2.0 would be an above average outcome at this point

If monk could get to the free throw line like Maggette he'd be a perennial all star

That dude had incriminating pictures of every ref in the league, I swear. Only non-superstar I've ever seen that consistently got superstar calls.

The messaging is consistent and clear from both Mitch and the coach. I hope they hold themselves accountable to follow through with their plan. Developing our youth is critical to the future. Extending lots of minutes to puke players like Batum has no place in this strategy. Bring him off the bench and hope he teases enough to entice a good trade from a foolish contender. TR will be better as a starter with known minutes. The team will struggle early and often, but progress will be measured by increments both as a team and at every player level. Top 3 draft picks can also help us down the road.
