I was telling my team at work that Alvin Gentry should be the first coach to get fired this year. They didn't believe me. They're getting destroyed Again by the Raptors. If we beat them tomorrow night I wouldn't be surprised to see him fired by Monday seems like a super nice dude and a great assistant oh, but I've never understood why teams keep giving him head coaching jobs. I heard an interview with him about 15 years ago when he was interim coach with the Clippers. It was like Bobcat era Paul Silas rambling on about God knows what.

Even without Zion there's no excuse for that team to play as bad as they are.

Gentry should absolutely not be fired man lol

What's he supposed to do? His team is legit incapable of playing defense.That team is incredibly young, hurt, and trying to incorporate half a dozen new players while dealing with completely unrealistic expectations. If they were to win 34 games this year it'd be a monumental achievement but people look at them like they're supposed to be a playoff team.

Monty and Gentry both got way too much scrutiny in NO.

J.J. Redick with 17min and only 1 FGA and 1 point? That's pretty bad and I don't know who's to blame haha.

Hoping we can bring forth a solid team effort and regroup with a W after that ugly L on Thursday.

What is he actually doing wrong and what actual solutions are there? Gentry's biggest problem last year was trying to make things work with AD too hard and he got sabotaged regardless :lol:

Phoenix got rid of him and saw half a decade of darkness going from one coach to the next. Only to bring in yet another NOLA coach who was ran out of town too soon.

The source of all of the Pelicans problems dating back years point straight to Demps and management. Right now, they're fundamentally incapable of playing defense and their best player is going out of his way to acquiesce to the new guys.

It just makes zero sense to me that people are trying to grill him up for his bad, injured, young team playing bad. Now the Bulls head coach? That dude is basura.

would like to think that Pels playing 2nd night in a row traveling coming off a loss 1-7 should be a big easy win for us but so conditioned as a Hornets fan to being the team against whom all trainwrecks "figure it out"

although that game against BOS featured such a torrent of turnovers, ice cold shooting, and other stupid human tricks I hope its us that figures it out
