Lowry and Ibaka are out which helps immensely. Siakam has turned into a force, though. Tough game. We will get down by double digits again early and we will see what happens.

This took me a minute but that's pretty funny.
On the other hand, we do have Monk hitting last second 3's now.
At this point, I cannot rule out a win. The Hornets are surprisingly decent and compete every night.

3J going to have his hands full. Siakam is super quick and slithery and uses his length really well. He also plays both ends.

Been some big challenges for the rook to start his NBA career:
Anthony Davis
Al Horford
Blake Griffin
Pascal Siakam

Very good point. I also think these tough matchups are great learning experiences, regardless of how successful he is in containing them. From what we've seen 13 games in, 3J has done a surprisingly decent job guarding these elite guys, and the more exposure he has defending the better big men in the NBA at this stage of his career the better IMO.

going with my friend and his son to tonight's game. somehow I've turned his kid into a Hornets fan. my buddy sent me a picture of him watching the Knicks game on their laptop the other night. not sure if I should feel good or bad about it, but it's hard to argue that this year's team isn't fun to watch. anyways go Hornets. first Charlotte game I've seen without Kemba on the roster since...yeesh, I still remember those days. maybe Devonte will hit another buzzer beater like I saw Kemba do back in 2013.

This is a statement type game. If the young dudes pull out a win, confidence should be sky high.
The Charlotte Hornets will win their first round series against the Boston Celtics in the 2021 Playoffs

Monk starting out cold, but at least he can still pass.

Rozier with early fouls once again.

I am just not a fan of Terry starting and getting so many mins. He’s the least efficient of our main rotation IMO.

And Miles. He’s playing himself right out of the starting lineup. At least he passes and plays defense though. He really needs to find his shot and develop a go to move.

And he got his 3pts so no need to defend him the rest of the night. He played well last game but I’d much rather Martin be in there instead. Not sure how you bench him when he was playing that well for us.

I don't think we've got a choice with Terry... He basically plays like a decent version of Malik Monk too.

Miles can play okay man defense but god help him if they target him off the ball lol. I don't know why he's fallen in love with this 3 ball and dunk (or do that same spin move) style of play. We need his activity on the boards and he's just not as active inside as he needs to be. If he was determined to ballhawk and cut, on this team, we'd have no reason to take him off the floor.
