Are you pulling for Kemba to win the Championship and possible Finals MVP?

Post#1 » by 316Hornets » Mon Jan 27, 2020 9:23 pm

Kemba has been on a little bit of a heater last few games. 3 35+ point games out of his last 5. The Celtics are stacked with talent and depth that Kemba has never seen. They have a real shot at winning it this year.

If Kemba wins the Championship this year, would you be happy for him?

It seems like their is a lot of people who don't like the Celtics and it would sort of support that big markets run things if he goes there and wins the title his 1st year.

Would you be excited and pulling for him to win it this year or no?

Kemba is really getting a chance to show how great he is as a leader in Boston. I still wish he would have went to Dallas to play with Doncic because I hate the Celtics, but I'm still rooting for my guy. Still my 2nd all-time favorite player. I hope he goes off in the playoffs and they pull off a Cinderella run like his championship run at UConn, but its going to be very tough to deal with Giannis/Embiid in a playoff series.

I'm pretty happy that what we've been telling opposing fans for years is finally coming to fruition. People used to knock Kemba's true shooting labeling him a 'chucker'. 53.5% career average, 59.4% this season. He's always had it and now people are seeing it.

The game just looks easy for him right now. Being able to pick his spots and conserve his energy throughout a game has been great for him. Even his free throw percentage has seen a nice bump, presumably just from being less fatigued. Watching him killing himself night after night trying to carry this team was kind of a brutal grind.

You’re seeing what Walter Payton would’ve done if he went to the 49ers in his prime, or what Barry Sanders could’ve done with the Packers in his prime.

He's not witwith us, so no. Turned on the franchise, knowing they didn't have enough cap to sign him to his contract. I hope he exits the first round every year. Seattle Supersonics vs. Mutombo style.

I voted no. I'm not against him winning it all but I'm also not that motivated to root for the Celtics. If he pulled it off I'd be happy for him, but that's also true of Giannis and a few others. I'm looking forward to seeing how things shake out in a wide-open playoffs.

I voted no because I'm rooting for the Clippers to win it all since Kawhi signed with them.

Poll and thread title elicit different answers from me. Yes and no, respectively.

That would be another blow for the Lakers, and i actually hope Clippers don't win this year

For my part, yes obviously i hope the best for Kemba (especially when some wannabe stars like Irving already have one championship).
I will probably root for Indi too (i do like what Pritchard has done with this franchise and most of their players are more than likable)

In the West, i guess it will be Denver for me. It's not the best year for LA (at least till lbj is there as this year will probably be only about kobe for obvious reasons) and i dont like any texan teams (and i dont like Doncic).

I don't care what he does.

He doesn't play for Charlotte any more.

Kemba carried this franchise for eight years. He doesn't owe us anything. He deserved to do what got him the biggest bag.

That said, I root for him personally but don't care if his team wins or loses.

Voted no, and not because I have anything against Kemba. He gave this franchise everything he had, and we as fans supported him to the fullest. He owes Charlotte nothing, and Charlotte fans owe him nothing. If he wins, he wins, if not, then that's fine too. I just like seeing high level NBA basketball in the playoffs.

NO! because its Boston, unless its vs Lakers. I'll be rooting for Denver, Milwaukee, Indiana, Dallas and Utah... then Philly, Toronto... then Houston, Clippers... then Boston... then Lakers

I hope a small market team or a team with no previous championships (Clippers) wins it.

Pretty much, Ditto. I would probably cheer for them over Golden State as well (Though not relevant to this year.)

Nope. Love Kemba but sorry, I hate Boston and would be happy if they never won anything ever again. I’d rather see most of the other teams win it all except maybe Miami and Philly over Boston.

I voted YES. I am not rooting for them because I am not really a fan of his team but i'd be happy to see him win it. My cousin is friends somewhat with him and so I root for him even more
