Apparently they are a thing

When will they realize that all they need to do is just make the throw backs the standard? Has anyone ever met or spoken with anyone who prefers the regular jersey's (city edition aside) over the classics? It's like they're just delaying the inevitable. Let's see what the new ones look like I guess, maybe they'll be awesome.

The Hornets IG posted a pinstripes pic a couple of days ago and players reactions on their IG as well showed them loving the new unis... I think it was PJ that had his reaction muted because it looks like he said the word "pinstripes". I'm guessing it is the throwbacks as being the new default.

I got the impression it is the current standard uniforms but with pinstripes. Which wouldn't be bad, but classic is where it's at.

Yeah, I know teams (and brands like Nike/Jordan) love selling new jerseys but the OG Charlotte Hornets uniforms should basically have never changed. When you're lucky enough to strike gold on an iconic design like that it's wise to commit to that permanently imo.

I hope the new uni’s are black and are used in our standard rotation. And I hope they take the place of the grey ones - which I HATE!

These are actually my favorite Charlotte jerseys ever.

I also prefer our current look over the retro ones. I like the teal retros but not the white ones much.

So those Buzz City jerseys I'll admit, are really nice. I like them more than the ones we used the last two seasons.

I'm surprised some of you like the current standard jerseys over the classic ones. My favorite are the purple classics. I'd be happy with nothing but classics + the above buzz city jerseys. I wonder if they'll ever make us suffer through an inaugural Bobcats throw back night lol

I want to see a Hornets x Dreamville (J. Cole) city edition uniform, similar to the Raptors x OVO (Drake) collab.

3. Classic White
4. Black 'Buzz City'
5. Teal Modern

That would be right around mine as well although I did have an affinity for the blue pinstriped Bobcats set.

They are here. Could use a little contrasting color, but ok.

Pretty good, I wish there was a little more purple on them. Looks like there are going to be more released in a few hours, so maybe those will feature the purple.

Hopefully the purples remain with the classic look. I dig the new modern ones adding the double pinstripes to add the splash of history.

The purple was such an iconic look that maybe we just keep those classic vs. trying to modernize those.

I hope they keep the purple ones too. The "icon" jersey's or whichever ones are the teal ones would be much better if the white trim was purple instead.
