We really don’t need them. Carey needs to play with Monk and Ball. Carey, in my opinion, is the best center (on our roster) for what our main guys can offer...most importantly, he can help space the floor and catch the ball.

I’m not sure he’s close to Biz or Zeller defensively (especially in terms of knowing where to be), but I do believe he’s already a better rebounder and better on offense than both. I’d play him before the other two.

LaMelo is swiping at and diving for balls while PJ just stands there watching...

Good timeout right there. I like the defense so far. Have to keep attacking the rim on this team.

Weird start...the rhythm of the game seems disjointed.

He frustrates me.

My perception is that he plays to about 25% of his ability - and that he shows more of a willingness to just jack up 3's than he does to do the things we need a PF of his ability to do.

Plus he is an unmitigated disaster on D - especially defending the P&R and switching.

The way that Melo understands his length advantage and how to use it is awesome.

I thought the same thing when I saw that play along with picturing you glaring at him through your screen with justified disappointment

Pretty solid end of the first Q, Melo breathed some life into the squad to end the Q.

That last play with the Dragic and 1 was frustrating though obv, y'all are right that PJ had to step in front there.

Not much resistance at the rim for either team. Need to start hitting some threes and tightening up defense. Old fart Ariza has been disruptive.

Pretty fragmented and rushed on offense - but mainly due to some really stout D being played by Miami.

We are trying to push the pace and looking for mismatches to exploit, and have been able to do so a few times.

They are scoring pretty easily.
