Well, this one is for all the marbles - which is scary because Sabonis usually rips us a new one.

The lotto thread is going to be lit this year. (Did I do the reverse-jinx correctly?)

With the way the seasons ending and the team losing it's mojo I'm really disheartened about tomorrow's game, I don't know how you guys feel

Expectations are low, but I'll be tuned in and tuned up.
There are some positives - Turner is out and we beat them 2 out of 3 this year.
There are some negatives - Brogdon should be back, we've been dismal of late, Sabonis vs. our sad frontcourt.

Is Hayward going to available or did he charge it to the game for the rest of the season?

I'll watch, but feels like there's no way we win. We failed every opportunity to rise to the occasion down the stretch.

It'll be an interesting test case for Borrego. He's up against the wall now and has to win. Whom does he start? What will his rotations look like? Will any of the younger players get some burn? If there was a game the past two seasons to evaluate Borrego in a meaningful game situation, this is it.

Look at Caleb Martin. Four straight games in May, he played over 20 minutes: Detroit, Chicago, Orlando, and New Orleans. The Hornets won two of those, including against Detroit, where Caleb actually started. The last two games, DNPCD.
Coach Borrego is casting about desperately for lineups and rotations that will work, while his top point guard is still playing as if he were hurt, and he lacks a center who can control the paint.

When the game is on the line, rather than go to what has worked all season long he has gone to Devonte and Terry circa 2019 hero ball.
LaMelo should be running and initiating the plays. Don’t be predictable. Don’t have everyone stand around while whoever happened to bring the ball up between Devonte and Terry just wind the shot clock down and take a contested shot while 4 other guys stand there. Do what got you here.

Really feels like a lot of the Pacers players are questionable. Gonna be interesting to see the injury report leading up to the game tomorrow. This weekend was super deflating, but we shall see what happens.

Beal is playing with a sore hamstring while Hayward keeps his feet up. Terry Rozier would be playing if the roles were reversed.

Obviously the injury was understated. We’ve seen this before with the Hornets. “Foot sprain” could very possibly mean plantar fasciitis which is typically a much longer recovery. Foot sprain just sounds so mild.

Looks like Brogdon is a game-time decision.

Feels like a win/win to me. More basketball or keep the ping pong balls. Though if Melon, Miles, Monk, Graham, and PJ all **** the bed; I'll be disappointed going into next season. I'd like to see the young core rise to the occasion even if they come up short.

Levert now out due to Covid protocols. Indy could be missing its entire starting backcourt.
Honestly I'm way less hype for the play-in than I was expecting, all the games except GS/LAL look like trash matchups between teams who are only fighting for the right to get vaporized by a legit squad next week. I hope Adam Silver bangs the in-between part of his toes on a table leg and then steps backward into a pile of Legos. What a stupid gimmick.

Levert being out is huge, he would have killed us.

We honestly just need to make our shots. If we do that we should win. That’s what’s caused us to lose a lot lately. Just freaking make some shots and try to get Sabonis in foul trouble.

LeVert being out is huge. Brogdon is a game-time decision, so even if he plays he won't be 100%. Mainly concerned about Sabonis (obviously) and McDermott and Justin Holiday getting hot from 3. If we have a good night from 2-3 of our guys I can definitely see us coming away with this one.

League Pass through the NBA app can suck it. This is the first season I’ve used it, might be the last.
I can’t watch this game live because it’s considered a blackout game - so I won’t be able to watch until the game is finished (around 9:00pm).
So if we make the actual playoffs I guess the same blackout rule will apply.
Such BS.
