Probably going to be cut or be on the G-League team. He is pretty terrible as far as I can tell.

Power shift.

It's whatever I guess. Maybe he has improved? Can't hurt anything on the Swarm.

Best case he’s a rotation guy who was overlooked in the HS recruiting process

Worst case we burn a G-league spot to keep our likely franchise point guard happy

Since this news dropped. I've been wondering what it's like to be siblings with two very successful players ( or anything else I suppose ) while you're substantially worse than they are. They all played together, all developed the same skillset...and you just suck.

LaMelo is going to be a star.
Lonzo is going to be a solid starter.
LiAngelo...well he tried.

I suppose the right response would be happiness for them.

Me? Jealous as hell. Lol.

Hes a very good shooter. He'll make an NBA team and eventually be a solid role player. Hope he makes the team

LiAngelo could have a decent pro career in the 3rd or 4th best European league. Sadly he's just not an NBA talent. And really, not being a top500 basketball player in the world is nothing to be ashamed of.

we've burned our two-way contracts on players that never play every year since their creation, so might as well give him a shot I guess?

There are zero basketball reasons to get excited about this though

Tyler Cook was my pick a few years back... Great to see him finally make it to the League. BTW I'm also a fan of Tall Guy Car Reviews, and Have no Fear Mr Organik is Here lmao.

Not going to lie I'm kinda excited to watch him and Kulboka in SL. It'll at least be entertaining.

Didn't you say the same about Lamelo? Or was that someone else?

I hated that pick at the time because of certain specific holes in his game, that luckily he has improved a lot on. I will happily eat a ton of crow on that.

Aren't the holes in LiAngelo's game basically all of basketball?

But hey, at the end of the day, it'll literally be a week in Vegas. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, in all likelihood.

It is a no lose situation for us. We win by giving him a chance and after that, everything else is a bonus. He has been running with us in scrimmages for about a month according to Kupchak and has been "holding his own". Worth a chance because, he could totally be worth it basketball-wise. It is nice to get this out of the way early and figure it out.

Remember all of the people that said Seth Curry wasn't an NBA player? And we had a lot bigger sample size with him. Still regret not giving him a chance.

Well Seth went to, and excelled, at a high level D1 school and had an elite talent (shooting) from the get go

LiAngelo is basically just Melo's brother and probably wouldn't have a shot at an NBA roster otherwise

Slight difference

Didn't Liangelo have a full ride at UCLA before the China situation? People are acting like this guy has never played basketball before lol.
