Yeah, he has failed miserably in his role as Hayward injury insurance. Hopefully he gets traded in the off season. He is serviceable and on an expiring so someone may want his offense.

after making first 4 shots from 3, finished the heat game 1-for-11, 0-for-8 from 3. typical.

Re: Little Swaggy: The Kelly Oubre Jr Thread
can we please drop this dude from the rotation before the play-in?
if he cant be bothered to play defense and pass by now, its not gonna happen.

More than okay with Bouk taking all of his minutes next season.
Hell I'm ok with us drafting a strong defensive minded wing and taking his minutes.
I'm ok with anyone taking his minutes.

The goal is to move him. If there are no takers or if teams want us taking back bad money, buy him out. Kelly has a 5 million dollar buyout. It's a steal.. A lottery team doesn't pay the extra 7.6 owed Oubre to bury a lottery pick.
I'm not worried. He will be gone. His 7.6 can go to Cody Martin.

Now we know why he's been skipping around the league since Washington dumped him. Good stats, but a terrible player overall.

Re: Little Swaggy: The Kelly Oubre Jr Thread
If this dude is on the roster next year I will be furious. His lack of defensive accountability and self-awareness are mind-boggling. It's a shame because he has the tools to be a very solid two-way player Oh, but has absolutely no interest on the defensive end of the Court. Offensively, it's hard to find a player with worse tunnel vision. Let him randomly go off five times a year for someone else. I'm happy to give all of his minutes to bouknight or anyone else.

I can't muster the rage against Oubre remaining on the roster because I can't fathom it. I'd literally be shocked. Dude was chopped down to 15 minutes by the end of the year making 12 million bucks. They know.

Completely unplayable and not someone you want anywhere near your team if you are trying to win. I'd cut him and eat whatever is guaranteed on his salary just to get rid of him if they can't use him as salary filler in a trade.

He's useless and yet thinks he's God's gift. He has serious issues. Plumlee is also useless. Capela ate him alive. I'd try to move both as filler but would be 100% comfortable paying to get them off the roster and create minutes for draft picks.

I definitely think they need an upgrade at Plumlees spot, but I don't think hes the kind of guy you absolutely need to get rid of. He can function as a decent role player but he is basically cast above his billing here. He would theoretically be fine as a backup center and great as a third center. Oubre is the kind of guy I just don't even want in the locker room at all and wouldnt even want him as like the 12th man in my rotation.
There are very few guys ive seen in the entire league the last few years who have less of an understanding than Oubre of what a team is actually trying to accomplish on both ends of the floor. Dude is just mindlessly running around on offense and chucking shots every time someone passes him the ball and completely checks out on defense.

Even benched Oubre is still a huge minus because I'm sure he absolutely tanks the quality of the practice runs. Im sure it's a tough adjustment on defense to go from playing against a Kelly Oubre line in practice all day to playing actual NBA offenses

Hayward, Rozier, Batum and Oubre accounted for 55% of our cap in our game yesterday. Insane
55% for detrimental production

Re: Little Swaggy: The Kelly Oubre Jr Thread
This guy is everything that is wrong with the team. He does nothing but chuck 3 point shots and 80% of the time he shoots terribly.
He's a high calorie, no nutrients scorer that contributes nothing else at all except a bad example for the younger guys in the team to follow. Please get rid ASAP.

Hayward pre-injury numbers were far from detrimental. He would start on every team in the league and we would have finished top 6 with him healthy.

The guy SHOULD be a better defensive player - but he reaches instead of moving his feet.
The guy SHOULD be a better offensive player - but he jacks up off balance contested 3’s instead of driving to the rack.
He’s got all the tools, but is a mechanic trying to be a plumber.
