We'll have our first round pick this year if we end up in the top-18 (we're currently at 14)

Also got two second rounders - the one from New Orleans (currently at 38) and ours (currently at 45)

-- that New Orleans second rounder will turn into a first if it's not in the top-14 (currently at 8)

Thanks for getting it going. Early, early daze, but in our current range I like Nikola Jovic quite a bit: tall multi-position wing - a swaggy, tough Euro - and Jalen Duren: athletic, man-sized big that can board and block shots.

I like Jalen Duren. I hope he falls.

there is a Diop we can get in the 2nd round. that would make me happy

What resources do folks use to keep up with prospects with draft express no longer existing?

I'd like to get a defensive guard if available. Have done 0 research on this draft as I no longer watch college ball

Also like Kamagate. Not the physical specimen Badji is but I think he can legit switch 1-5 against NBA players. Turning 22 in his rookie year though and his (alleged) measurements are all over the place.

If i was a GM I'd stay the hell away from Banchero. Dude disappears. Attempted one freaking shot in the second half last night. Blows my mind.

Wow - they have Duren at 4. Last I scoped out mocks, he was a middle 1st.

Jonathan Givony and Mike Schmitz from DraftExpress are still doing work over at the ESPN NBA draft page but you need to be a subscriber

The Ringer usually has some good NBA draft stuff but 2022 hasn't gone up yet

I don't know why we need another developmental center. Take the best defensive guard/wing available if we are lucky to get the Pels pick or miss the playoffs.

Agreed, I'm not interested in drafting another Developmental Center. We already have three on the roster that can't get any game time. The next Center we add to the roster needs to be someone who can start and play immediately.

We have plenty of other immediate needs, such as a backup point guard, three-point shooting, and a defensive wing.

But for the love of God please don't draft anymore one-dimensional Undersized, scoring, combo guards.

Pretty much this. Just draft best player available and trade talent if needed to balance the roster.

He's playing in our league, but as much as i like him, i am not sure he could be nba material, or as a rotation defensive big. His offense is pretty limited (mostly on the pnr) and i dont think he can develop a reliable jumper a bit like Dedmon (i think he is the best comparison i can make) did over the years.

But at least his actual stats are legit since he plays in a pro league against adults (albeit our league does not have very tall frontcourt players baring a few guys, but its very physical, way more than the nba - fiba rules...).
His qi basket is pretty good as he developed slowly here (was off the radar for a while) but steadily. I guess he is 2nd round material though.

The main interest for Charlotte is to draft a Hayward replacement. We were a few wishing to see Wagner here (its not a hit on bouknight, there were solid arguments for him too), especially if Hayward could monitor his future replacement. Yes i heard the story about Miles going back to the sf position, but lets say i am not convinced this is where he is the most valuable, especially when you take into account the defense (court awareness...) part.
Though I'd say the best two way player available at Hornets draft position should be mandatory at the very least.
