Re: Buyout/Free Agency thread
I can't believe Bembry would clear waivers. He is very similar to Cody Martin. Is it a matter of cap space?
I don't support domestic violence. Thanks Miles

I can't believe a team hasn't picked up Bembry yet, I didn't really take much notice of him till I checked him out on you tube. I know they are just highlights but he does seem very athletic and has decent defence which we need in abundance

Any interest in Tyreke Evans as a backup PG?

Looks like Bembry is headed to the Bucks. Excellent fit for him with DD gone and Connaughton hurt

So they ended up helping an in-conference rival. Nice work there.

Either most of us are stupid as hades or Mitch is a dumbazz regarding Bembry. I guess he and JB will sit around and throw some darts until they realize…”oh…we traded our back-up point guard….I forgot”.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

You can’t be surprised that Bembry went to a championship contender.

I am sure he wanted to play for a contender. We can't blame Mitch on that one

Wanted Bembry here, but I meant the Nets waiving him and "helping" the Bucks land another defender.

Need a vet PG/wing, preferably one that prides themselves on their defense. Even a semi-reeclamation project in the mold of an Elfrid Payton/Frank Ntilikina type player. Exum would've been pretty cool.

Jevon Carter for backup PG anyone? He's a noted strong defensive guard.

Whinge time.
I see other teams signing players, both to 10 day tryouts and full contracts, nothing yet for us. We need a backup point guard to run the team when Melo sits.

Need to do something. He wouldn't be the worst option. It's an absolute necessity though so it's not glamorous but we need someone capable of being serviceable...

One of the issues that have plagued the Atlanta Hawks this season has been point-of-attack defense. Jevon Carter, who was recently released by the Brooklyn Nets would help immensely in that regard.
this article agrees

Re: Buyout/Free Agency thread
I was only half-kidding when I suggested MCW. I can almost hear the collective groans, but last year in 30+ games he was putting up 8.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.2 assists for the Magic and looking fairly composed while doing it. He's a proven facilitator and multi-position defender that would provide a vet presence off the bench. He was shut down last year for ankle surgery and just waived.
This would be a stopgap (he's 30) and I honestly don't know how I feel about the idea, but if we're talking Jevon Carter, we're in 'better than nothing' mode.
