It's Nic Batum. No explanation required. He's first ballot no question.

Re: BFHOS - NIC BATUM?
This is such an obvious yes that if he doesn't get a 100% vote then I'll be surprised.
There are a lot of things I can forgive. Injuries, bad fit, bad coach/team, and so on
What the Dude absolutely cannot abide is you phoning it in immediately after receiving a big contract, not taking a team friendly buyout to leave after stealing money from them, forcing the team to stretch you and keep paying you years after you left while you go to a different team and immediately play harder.
Oh yeah, and he ruined the last couple good years of Kemba's career by being an albatross
Batum belongs in the pantheon of the BFHOS

Only thing I've got against the logic is Rich Cho should be front of the line.

Re: BFHOS - NIC BATUM?
Batum is the complete BF package. His contract set the franchise back a half-decade and ruined the Kemba era.
The fact he became a serviceable player again immediately in LA is even more proof that he was just a guy who didn't give a damn, not someone who got overpaid and then tried but failed to live up to the contract.
Aside from George Shinn and Ray Woolridge I supect no Hornet-affiliated person in history would draw more ire from the fan base.

Re: BFHOS - NIC BATUM?
One of the overlooked benefits of the Batum stretch is the handcuff on spending. Forced the Hornets to develop and rely on a bunch of second round players. Also made Greensboro more meaningful. I'd feel better if Hayward could stay healthy, but silver lining and all that.

The person who voted no, I would be curious to hear an explanation as to why he should not be included. Unless someone clicked on the wrong button or someone is just f****** with us.

Lol tell us who it was.

Yeah that gets me every time. Making himself out to be the victim

Just such a shame he didn't walk away! But remember he was "seriously considering" opting out of the last year of the deal. Yeah you're not only pathetic but a liar too Nic.

Re: BFHOS - NIC BATUM?
The two most worthless players we’ve paid too much money to, and squandered their talent here due to….whatever…we’re both French. Nickless Batroom and Doris Meow. I say induct both worthless POS’s on the first ballot.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

His wife has also taken shots at the Hornets on Twitter, claiming we didn't let him "be himself."

If she had any humility she would keep her mouth shut, seeing as though their family stole a living off this franchise.

Re: BFHOS - NIC BATUM?
Just added my own yes vote so it has to be either a clipper fan (blazer ? ) or a french fan (or a troll
) that voted no.
Still, as 'satisfying' this topic can be for some, the whole Batum situation was poorly managed by Hornet's organization. From the 5 year (PO) - which is the biggest mistake from Cho, even though part of the 120M should have been linked to performance on the court/AS or whatever incentive - to his fat contract to the way they let the whole universe they wanted to get rid of him during his 4th year of contract.
Even with the Hayward signing, they should have tried to recover some value since obviously he was not done on the court (which i suspected back in time considering how he performed with our nt already in the world championship in 19').
The biggest issue i have with some takes here is that he was not worthless. And he is still not. Which means if nothing changes in the organization (and i point out the technical staff, knowing it went south as soon as borrego took over), you can prepare for Batum 2.0 etc very fast...
But as LDW mentioned, the biggest blow for me is when he claimed he was thinking of giving up his last year option, which would have redeemed a bit of himself (not saying for everyone), to end up not giving up anything during the buy out talks.
Not gonna lie though, i am pleased of how he performed for our nt during last olympics.
