We got this. I believe it in my heart.

2 games lost due to blown calls
at least 5-10 games where we just thought we were too good to try hard
2-14 b2b
0-7 in ot

all we needed was 1 win to get top 8. does this team needs more painful reminders that every game matters?

Feels like this is a much bigger hurdle than Cleveland. Cleveland has not been close to the same since Allen went down. If we squeak out a win here I'll get pretty excited
Your Charlotte Hornets! We’ll eventually get something right;right?

So basically we have to beat Atlanta & Cleveland away, and then we get to play Miami in the play offs. Is the play in on a back to back?

We'll be lucky to not be down 15 points by the middle of the 2nd quarter. I'd actually rather face the Nets

I have no faith whatsoever in Borrego throwing out a wrinkle on either end that will make it difficult for the Hawks

I just imagine the Hawks tightening up their defense and shooting lights out, and comfortably winning 128-104 or something like that

We need LaMelo and Miles to put their big boy pants and will this team to victory. Like how LaMelo played in that Boston game

PJ has to hit his open 3's

Rozier needs to show up for not just the 4th quarter

Oubre needs to miss the team bus

Too many variables, IMO

I think the team is motivated by last year's complete embarrassment vs Indiana and comes our firing.

That's what I'm praying for anyway

Capella 20/20 game incoming
Historically we have done a good job containing trey... jinx
Hunter will lock down the wing
Gotta hope huerter and other shooters don't get hot.
It all will come down to our perimeter defense vs 3s, defensive rebounding, and us making 3s. We rebound and make 3s it's doable.
Should also have decent amount of hornets fans for a road game.

I just want to see something from Borrego to shows we have a plan for this game....something...anything

Like the 2000-2001 Bugs that went into Miami and completely confused the Heat

Even if we lose the next game, I want to see some sort of coaching improvement for me to have faith in this staff for another year, not another moral "oh well we had injuries, he finally finished with a winning record, vegas win total, he didn't have a center, etc. etc."

I was looking over the final team stats and we finished 6th in 3 point percentage, but 27th in free throw percentage. That's the difference in all of the close losses this season. It should be correctable, get rid of Plumlee and make it a priority for everyone else to get better.

We'll either get blownout or win 130-125.

Getting rid of Oubre at 66.7% FT and 34.5% 3PT on high volume improves the margins on both those categories.

I can stomach Plumlee as our big off the bench. He did what he could do, but it isn't his fault he isn't a starter level player. He's fine if all he needs to do is play bench minutes. Oubre just needs to go though, he doesn't add anything that this team needs.

We need to hire a spy to infiltrate the Grizzlies organization and see who they like in the draft....can you imagine if we had someone like Bane, Anderson, or Brooks instead of Oubre, what a difference it would make for this team

Luckily there are a bunch of defensive fowards/centers in the draft around our spot

I, for one, am not really thrilled that we get to be the first to experience playoff Trae this year. Hopefully our success against him continues.

I am really worried about two things with ATL, offensive boards and 3 pointers (wait thats my worry with every team).

We tend to forget DeAndre Hunter exists every time we play them. We HAVE to keep Capela off the boards.

Also, maybe we could adjust our rotation to where Lamelo and Terry play more than 10 mins on the court at the same time.

But who am I to suggest different rotations against different teams?

Hopefully we play LaMelo and Miles 38+ minutes. Ideally 40 and very few if any minutes where neither are on the court.

This'll be my first live game in weeks - been a brutal March/April. I've basically told my entire life to f*** off - do not bother me on Wednesday. I was going to say that playing ATL has me worried, but playing every team has me worried. Never can tell which Hornets team will show up. Agreed that Melo and Miles should live on the court. Oubre should have a crazy short leash - test the water, see if we're getting zone Oubre, and pull him as soon as he misses two shots in a row.

I totally agree with this take on Oubre. Don't totally bench him, see which one you get in the 1st/second quarter. If he doesn't make 3 of his first 4 shots, he rides the bench because you know what you get. He stays hot/cold for an entire game, which is convenient for the strategy.

But yeah, only way Lamelo gets less than 36 is if he's in foul trouble (or if we stick with the 32 min per game rotation).

We need to keep our studs on the floor, no need to rest them for postseason.

I like our chances. . We have won 11of our last 15. Mcdanial's is playing both ends well the last few games. Martin has slowed their point down the last few games they played them. We have added Trez and IT . If we play our game i like our chances.
