Ray was the primary architect and driving force behind the Hornets relocation to New Orleans. George Shinn brought him on as a minority owner after Shinn turned down Michael Jordan to become minority owner in the late 90s.

It was Ray who led the charge to relocate the team to New Orleans after the vote for the new Arena failed on the heels of George Shinn's publicly humiliating sex trial on court TV.

In a later interview George expressed remorse for going along with Rays insistence of moving the franchise. It is also believed that Ray was behind the effort to falsifying attendance records by showing only the turnstile attendance rather than paid attendance during the last season to make it look as though the situation was worse than it really was.

Fun fact, after this series where we swept the Miami Heat and four games my friends and I snuck into the Crown Club after the game where I met Woolridge. We asked and not to move the team to New Orleans. He told us straight to our faces you had no intention of moving the team out of Charlotte. He was drunk and had a tie tied around his head like a bandana.

**** HIM!!!

The first time I saw Ray Woolridge, I remember thinking, "My god, that man has a large forehead." And, thus my avatar was born.

Woolridge has my vote for the hall of shame.

Thanks, Fatlever, for the excellent rundown.

No two individual are more deserving of this 'honor' than Woolridge and Shinn.

Closing this one. 1st unanimous vote. 100% of 14 votes.

Does anyone have any more nominees for this year? I'm happy to keep going as long as we have suggestions.

Suggestions...

Rod Higgins, Cory Higgins, Matt Geiger, 2017 all star game, CSET, Bob Johnson, Frank Kaminsky, 2012 season, Lin stans, Mister Glover, the very first scoreboard at the old Charlotte coliseum, Charlotte Spirit nickname, not resigning Mourning
