Draft Lottery Night

Post#1 » by fatlever » Mon May 16, 2022 5:47 pm

Looks like our onstage representative will be PJ Washington.

Post all of your good luck charms here. We will need it.

Welp, I was going to predict that the Hornets move up ... but PJ? Nah.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

not gonna have any expectations and no complaints, feel like we're gonna be paying off the LaMelo luck for a long, long time

I always think about Devonte repping us at the lottery only to see our good luck result in his replacement lol. Perhaps PJ will do the same?

For once I don't have a strong desire to move up. None of the top 4 this year really impress me. Would have killed for a shot at Jalen Green and Mobley last year.

Getting Banchero would be nice cause then we don't have to give a max to Miles, but. No way we get the first pick.
Your Charlotte Hornets! We’ll eventually get something right;right?

If we move up it's going to be the 4th pick and Chet, Jabari, and Paulo will all be gone. If we don't get a top 3 pick I'd rather just stay at 13 in all honesty.

I'd be elated to move into the top 4. If anything it's enormously more valuable than the 13th pick in a potential trade scenario

I'd be happy at 7 or 8. Duren would most likely be there to draft

Regardless of the talent, you should always want to move up so that you can take who you want.

In line with the above Tweet about the Baron Davis draft:

the only possible outcomes for us are 13, 14, 1, 2, 3, 4

Unless Chet or Banchero is available when we pick, I hope our pick is trade bait. Moving into the top 4 would be awesome, trade down for more talent and then trade the lower pick for a center.

I just don't see it with Banchero, has strong Glenn Robinson vibes, and doesn't try on defense...its just not what we need and he's a square peg that you would have to tailor your offense around like Randle and the Knicks. I would, no lie, prefer Dyson, Eason, Sochan, Duren, Davis over Banchero.

Chet's body is terrifying, its a huge gamble. But if we move up maybe it was destined.

I would take Ivey or Sharpe if we got the 3 or 4 and Jabari is gone
