That being said I'm kind of excited.

Did he? He's missed 92 games of his career over this without pay.

He has definitely not got off easy so let's all calm down with the hyperbole.

Any ideas on if they will keep him or sign and trade? I really liked the idea of trading him to Dallas for their pick this year.

They have to have a plan, right? Keeping him? Trading him?

Unless we can get a great return in a trade the plan is to keep him in all likelihood. The clock is ticking with LaMelo (and us fans), we need to win. Letting a near all-star level player walk for nothing is not an option.

The most realistic good return I think we could get for him is with the Mavericks. They are desperate to improve and have proven many times that they don't care about domestic abuse. I'd only go for that though if we draft a wing with our top pick. Hayward will be gone in a year, and if Bridges is also gone our wing depth will become a huge issue.

No one will care once Bridges stats playing next year. The media doesn't even care about this story, they just talk about LeBron and the playoffs. There is no way we trade him for pennies. With issues like these, time passes and it gets swept away.
I don't support domestic violence. Thanks Miles

My only solace in this whole mess is that the victim truly wants this piece of shite to be back in the league.

She also wants, needs and deserves to be PAID…handsomely, for her injury and their child’s support.

tbh what you said is why I'd like to get out of the LaMelo and Miles business if they get good enough return (especially Ball)

I see no way Dallas is giving up a top 10 pick for Bridges just to pay him a stack of cash. He is a good player, but it very rarely makes sense to use 2 assets to sign one player unless they are a top 25 player in the league.

I really have no idea what his market would be tbh.

Well one it would be a sign and trade deal, so you can pretty much expect to get less than you think if history shows anything.

Hope he comes back a better man…no matter where he winds up. The take away should be wisdom, maturity and focused purpose on his life and profession. If he brings all that back plus his full game to the Hornets, it could help redefine future seasons just as his stupidity helped destroy his missed year.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.
