Mark Williams is once again a bright spot. I wasn't sure how he would hold up against Drummond's physicality but he's more than hung in there.

Failing to break 100 against a severely depleted Bulls team with all your offensive players healthy is pretty bad. They really should have at least kept Jay Triano on the staff.

I like how PJ played 39 minutes despite going 0/9 from 3 and shooting 19% from the field overall. Good coaching Cliff! 6/4/2 in 39 minutes. Absolutely pathetic.

What is Mark Williams RPM? Because it seems like every boxscore, he's a positive +/-. The only one tonight actually.

Games like these should be shown to PJ when he requests his 20M per year. (and is precisely why I want to trade him in the next week)

Indeed, PJ is near garbage at times. He didn’t help his trade value tonight, perhaps on purpose (he thinks he can max his potential via CLT’s desperate organization than earn his payday with some other team).

I don't think the wrist is a tenth as bad as he let's on to be honest.

Good tank L. Melo's been screwed by the refs these last few games. Mark's been quite a bright spot and one of the main reason why I still tune in. Lots to hope on with him!

Mason -22
Mark +6

Mark completely dominated Andre Drummond in the paint in the second quarter. Rainman puts Mason back in the game at the typical predetermined time slot and Drummond promptly scored six straight points in the paint over mason. In a game where the Bulls could get nothing in the paint over mark, cliff decides to play him only 16 minutes in order for Mason to continue his phantom stat padding ahead of the trade deadline.

He subbed him out at the same time in the 4th and kept his minutes capped at 17. They tread water for a couple minutes after Plumlee came back in but then Chicago made easy work of them in the last few minutes. No disrespect to Plumlee. Hes played well, but he clearly wasn't handling the size of Chicago's front line nearly as well as Mark was in this game.

You can't take Clifford seriously. Hes never going to stop being like this and its not like this is the only weird type of thing he does that constantly costs the team games even though hes supposed to be a win-now at all costs guy.

if we hadnt already seen this from cliff 100s of times prev i wouldnt freak out over one random stat anomaly

cliff is just not good at making in-game adjustments. i figure his stubbornness has probably cost the team a few wins a year. may not seem like much, but for a team historically living with razor thin margins, thats big. thankfully its working in our favor this season.
