Detroit's training staff is slipping laxatives in their own Gatorade during the morning walkthrough. Leave nothing to chance fellas.

When it happened EC said that it looked like his thumb was going the wrong way and Joe Sharpe had to snap it back into place...but it's been said to be a right thumb sprain and he's probable to return.

Detroit is really bad. Hornets are playing ugly basketball and still winning

Yeah Detroit is really, really, really not trying.

Terry is definitely a flat track bully. I haven't seen him play well consistently against a decent defense.

Speaking as a Piston fan, it’s almost completely Cory Joseph. Suddenly he’s playing a ton, over dribbles the ball, refuses to pass to certain players, and that’s it. Other than not passing to certain players, the rest of it seems like the reason we didn’t waive him after the deadline.

We’re basically looking at the end of the season to watch certain guys get reps and see if Hampton or Eugene are worth keeping. Can’t wait to see Buddy Boheim (a two way player) suddenly get starts

Orlando have lost 3 straight. Only 5.5 games ahead of us.

We have 14 more games to go. Seems highly unlikely that we make up that distance in the games we have left

I can hear the press conferences and see the social media posts already

"We improved throughout the year"
"We finished strong despite a rough start"
"We had bad luck with injuries"
"We laid a good foundation for next year"

This is Charlotte sports we are talking about, it seems inevitable that we pass Orlando, "feel good about finishing the season strong", and they win Wembenyama with our former draft slot..

Orlando pass us. They get Wemby. We move down to 9th.

I doubt it happens though. But even if it's a 1% chance, it wouldn't surprise me.

Exactly what i was thinking.
And at this point, it would be fully deserved

There is no excuse for plain stupidity

I don't think we can be mad about beating Detroit & the teams below us. They're pro-tankers. But if Orlando keep losing and we pull some wins vs playoff competing teams, then it'll be concerning.

Oubre continues to play really well since coming back from injury.

Credit where credit is due, Kelly has been pretty good since lamelo went down. There was the one game where I wanted to claw my eyes out, but other than that I've been pretty impressed with his all-around game, not just his ability to score. He's been a lot more locked in defensively.

Considering that we don't know anything about what's going on with Cody's knees, Bryce and bouk clearly aren't ready yet, and who knows what happens with Hayward next year, I'm warming up a little bit more to Bringing Kelly back on a reasonable contract, especially if we are serious about trying to be a playoff team next year.

I don't want to overreact again to our decision making and managing of injuries, but I really don't understand why Mark was allowed to come back in the game yesterday. According to Eric on the broadcast his thumb was " facing the wrong direction". Like, that is not good under any scenario. I know they have x-ray machines typically in the Arenas and probably did a scan to determine it wasn't broken before they allowed him back in the game wearing that ridiculous brace on his hand which he clearly could not handle the ball. I'm glad they made the decision to bench him at halftime and not risk it any further, at least until they have time to do a proper scan to determine if there's any ligament damage to the thumb. I tore some ligaments in my thumb playing basketball many many years ago. It never healed properly because I kept trying to play through the injury and it's been a god-awful pain in my ass my entire life. There's nothing to play for why risk it with him? It sucks, obviously we all want to see Mark play because there's not too many reasons to tune into this team right now other than if you just love watching Terry and Kelly score.
