Vote in the poll! Let's try to get at least 100 responses.
I will keep the poll open until the day of the draft. You will be able to change your vote up to the date the poll closes.
If you think we should draft someone not on the list, select other and reply in this thread with the name.

If the Pelicans are willing to give up a haul for Scoot he has to be the pick. We can still get Miller from the Blazers while the Pelicans send Zion or Ingram to Portland and either team pays the extra value for us to move down a spot.

If this news is true the Pelicans screwed up badly letting this leak. Portland has no leverage, all of the leverage belongs to us. We are in the drivers seat.

Miller gets my vote.

Wouldn't hate Scoot, wouldn't hate the right trade.

I voted OTHER and that I would trade and select either Bobi Klintmon or Kobi Bufkin and try to aqcuire at least two future 1st rounders. I am just not sold on either having to be the pick in this draft which seems very balanced

Brandon Miller

But if the Pelicans want Scoot I wouldn't mind trading for Brandon Ingram.

Ingram is underrated as he is one of the better scoring wings in the league. When Lebron/KD/Kawhi retire Ingram's next in line.

I just haven't found a guy in this draft that I love. Definitely get the feeling the All-Stars are going to come out of nowhere. Right now I'm 60/40 Miller/Scoot. Mainly I don't know that either one hits, but if both hit, I'd rather have the 6'9" guy who can shoot, play some defense and make the right passes. However of the two I think Scoot has the most easily translatable skills in his first step, handles and playmaking.

Wow I just heard... Reports say he is a potential lottery pick next year. For now he is my 1st pick next year and my next is Ajay Mitchell or Reece Beekman.

I voted miller but I’m about 52/48 with scoot.

It’s a line call to me

I voted other and I would trade the pick for Zion and the future Lakers picks. Normally I wouldn't consider a fat guy who averages 28 games a year and has public embarasing relationship drama. Zion is really really good though and even a chance he can get his act together is still valuable.

If that stuff is not on the table I draft Scoot. I wouldn't be mad with Brandon Miller, I just prefer the guy with more handle and passing ability.

I was 60/40 Scott/Miller before the announcement about the Pelicans but I selected other now and the answer is easy. You do everything you have to in order to get Brandon Ingram. I think we could get him while shipping out Hayward’s contract and then also possibly getting a 1st for him. If it’s true the Pelicans want Scoot that bad then you ask for Ingram. What I think is gonna happen is they’re gonna do the same as above but offer us Zion and if that’s the case I’m not picking up the phone unless they give us CJ, Zion and the 14th this year, take back salary, and then I’m hesitant (might roll the dice).

For arguments sake, let's say this is for our big board, therefore trades aren't in play. Who is #2 player on your Hornets board? We don't even know if a deal is available or the parameters, so that's a vote for the unknown.

I'm 60/40 in favour of Miller over Scoot, but would be happy if we pick Scoot too.

I still think our best course of action (if possible) is to trade down to 3 and draft Miller and pick up some extra value off Portland or a third team. Otherwise just draft Miller or Scoot. I don't think trading the pick for a max salary veteran is a good idea. Unless it's like Luka or Joker lol

I'm not going to lie the idea of taking Scoot and then refusing to trade with New Orleans or Portland is kinda funny to me. If we want to extract the best return we have to make them think we'll do just that.
