Doesn't look proming on either end at first glance, will need to check more stats

Probably good support for Theo to have a fellow countryman there. Now they can fight over minutes

I used to follow him a bit when he was with the Knicks, their posters liked his defense but thought he was to passive with the ball. A bit Diawish, which would be fine for a backup.

We shall see, the contract is only partially guaranteed anyhow

The poor man's DSJ. Lol.

When you wait till August every year to address your backup point guard, this is what you end up with. Let's hope he can have a dsj type miraculous bounce.

Honestly, Theo should be able to stay ahead of Frank in the rotation.

All that being said, I'm sure I will enjoy watching him play defense.

Defensive PG depth, would've preferred a more veteran guy but whatever. DSJ was a bum until he came here too so ehh

It's pretty telling that we made a signing one day after the new owners joined. For the second summer in a row, we've been in a holding pattern with our free agency and spending.

Not impressed at all. The guy can’t shoot, was never able to hold down the position with either the Knicks or Dallas. Has some skills and decent length, but is largely a lottery bust looking for any job.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Theo isn't under contract, my guess is after this signing chances of him being back went even further down.

Dunks and Threes have Frank as a negative defender as well.

Also negative on Raptor.

Hoping this is just a fluke as he only played around 600 mins last year.

He's in the roster for the world cup that will take place at the end of this summer. So far in preparation game, he could not score most of his jumpers. the problem being that besides the face up jumper and the pnr, he has like no real offense (no floater, no midrange, no post up/fade away..).
He has size as a defender, and can switch easily but honnestly like Hayes and Maledon, he's been a disappointing player (promising prospect, and that's it).
I dont think he's passive though. More like he knows his limits in offense and anyway you dont want him to take big shots in the clutch.

But he's a nice guy to have in a roster (like Exxum who is back in the league now). Guys who can bring it in defensive mission, smart enough to position themselves where they should and occassionnaly deliver and bring more than expected (in offense).

Anyway, as it is, it sounds more like a end of the bench rotation. And probably one of his last chance to stay in the league
Could be a good piece in case Cody is injured or even traded. It's not like i trust anyone else in this roster to bring it in defense (it's not like most cares about it though here)

He isn't a good shooter, but 32% from 3 for his career is significantly better than DSJ. We also needed another point of attack defender. I would have preferred a better playmaker, but since we waited so long there weren't many options.

At first I thought this thread said we signed Frank Kaminsky. I was stunned for a few seconds until I realized it was French Frank, lol.

Frank is nothing like DSJ. He can't function as a pg like DSJ. Hes more of a defense first wing at this point. And his defense is not particularly impressive. He can't shoot and defenses have no reason to respect him because he has no on-ball skills. As a talent add for training camp this is a decent signing. We did waive Sneed yesterday after all. If the plan is to actually play him as a backup guard. That is a terrible idea.

So we repeat the DSJ mistake and don't make it a team option for a second year. Therefore if he plays well he gets poached next offseason by another team.

At least we signed a defensive backup PG I guess?

Clifford has an affinity for defense only guards, right? Frank is like the French version of Clifford favorite Michael Carter Williams.
