Officially Waived: The Davis Bertans Thread

Think he's still under contract next season. If he can play like he did in Washington, he'll be a good depth shooter for us.

His numbers aren’t as good this year, but let’s see what he’s got. Likely will get some minutes at the 5 ahead of Mensah.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

He's going to get cut next season before his whole year is guaranteed ($16,000,000). If we cut him early we eat $5.25 million next year.

Scrolling through his basketball ref page, he is a career 49% three-point shooter from the corners.

He also shoots only 3s, 80% of his fga. For the "PJ only shoots threes" crowd he was at 45% three point rate, so Bertans is 2x that lol

Unless we can use that money to sign a legit free agent center or point guard... I'd consider keeping him. Melo needs floor spacers. Our defense sucks regardless.

Plus he's an expiring to trade next year.
