Did this a few seasons ago and seemed like a cool thing to pick up again. I like analyzing the season chunks at a time.

Here is the first 10 games on the schedule:

(1) 10/23 - @ HOU - W 110-105
(2) 10/25 - @ ATL - L 125-120
(3) 10/26 - MIA - L 114-106
(4) 10/30 - TOR - W 138-133
(5) 11/1 - BOS - L 124-109
(6) 11/2 - BOS - L 113-103
(7) 11/4 - @ MIN - L 114-93
(8) 11/6 - DET - W 108-107
(9) 11/8 - IND - W 103-83
(10) 11/10 - @ PHI L 105-107

Pretty brutal that our home season opener is against Miami on the second night of a B2B and 4th game in 3 days. Not in love with playing BOS twice on a home B2B either, then traveling to MIN. I would be pretty ok with going .500 over this period, making that my prediction.

The Boston and Minny games seem rough, but every other game feels winnable.
Especially our first 4 games, we should be able to compete with all those teams.
Philly also might be without PG still by time we play them.

assuming no Mark for most of these, i'm going with 3-7- I don't mind our odds vs Houston, Detroit, and one of ATL/MIA/TOR.

Starting strong. Play ATL on Friday, who barely managed to squeak by BRK yesterday. Would love to get off to a 2-0 start.

MIA got smoked by ORL yesterday and their next game is against us on Saturday, so expecting them to come out pissed.

That is so strange to play back to backs against the same team at home both times. Maybe Boston gets some bad food and we steal one from them for coach Lee. I think we’d be fortunate to come out of all that 4-6 with no Mark. If we have to go no Miller…ugh.

I would love to start 4-0 before Boston undresses us.

I’m worried about the Atlanta game, Okangwu had a good game against Brooklyn.

I’m looking forward to watching Daniels defending Ball though.

Random too early to be meaningful stats:

Currently ranked 10th in ORTG, 19th in DRTG, and 16th in net rating.

We are currently top in the league in ORB% and 22nd in DRB%.

Our pace is 22nd, and our TO% is 26th. A/TO is 29th.

We are ranked 4th in 3PA and 11th in 3PT%.

We rank 7th in opponent FG% and 12th in opponent 3PT%.

Nice break now with only one game between now and Friday. That home and home fri and sat with the Celtics is very strange.

It feels like we just need to get some flow on our offense, which will happen once we get Mark and Miller back. There's just too many mins with Cody Martin, Nick and Micic in there where the offense sputters. We're also not setting screens up top and we're forcing LaMelo to have to free himself with dribbles (which he's done a phenomenal job of so far).

As for the first 10 games, do we think Embiid might still be out Nov 10th? I'm trying to go to that game and it'd be nice if we had a chance to win.

starting core has been off to slow starts offensively in 1q

over 4 games
grant and diabate are +26, 24
miles and richards are -24, 20

something to keep an eye on, see if its noise, small sample or a trend

Bridges has played down to his contract so far, but it's early.

I know we like him in the 6th man role, but Mann probably should've been starting with Miller out. I think starting Seth+Cody+Richards together was way too little shot creation, especially with Bridges struggling. Thankfully BMill is back, and Bridges isn't going to stay this bad. We should climb a bit but I still don't trust any lineup with Richards and another non-scorer
