Re: Current Hornets Draft Capital
Good call on keeping this thread going. Will have to remember to update it based on any future deals involving picks.
Those 2027 picks could be something, especially the Miami pick. We have flexibility to either hold onto all of them (possibly even adding more) and caching in on a disgruntled star to top off the core or use one here and there to tweak/improve the roster.

You know Dallas is going to get the second overall pick in the 2027 draft lottery with a 2% likelihood pre-lotto haha

Re: Current Hornets Draft Capital
Hornets own two 2nd rounders in the upcoming 2025 draft that didn't look too valuable when acquired because they belong to the Sixers and Pelicans.
Sixers are 1-7 so their pick is currently 31 (tied).
Pelicans are 3-7 with Zion out indefinitely with a hammy. Their pick is 36 (tied).
That's 2 picks close to late 1st round.

Additionally, Hornets own a 2027 Blazers 2nd. That is further out, but looks like a quality high 2nd round pick.

not quite....
we own the less favorable of Denver/Philly. Dallas gets the better one. Jokic will carry that roster to the playoffs kicking and screaming
as far as 2025 2nds go, we still own our own if it lands 31-55. assuming we don't make the playoffs, we owe our 2026 2nd 2027 2nds for the Kai Jones trade
investigate Adam Silver
