Well, not allowing basketball players to play basketball does remain the best way to avoid basketball-related injuries. Just prioritizing the 'long-term health' of our players.
(frustrating that a strained foot tendon = 2-3 months, and a strained calf has to be 're-evaluated' in two weeks. The world I grew up in is not this world.)
