Joked with my son that it would be funny for them to take McNeely after drafting Kon. Really didn't think they'd actually do it.

What does he even do?

I will tip my cap to Jeff.

This is an excellent pick. He was a consensus top 10 recruit coming out of Monteverde and is a really, really advanced off ball shooter. His feel and movement shooting rivals Kon’s.

UConn did not have a real PG and then he sprained his ankle badly and played thru it which hurt his stats significantly. He missed a month but was never the same. I have defensive questions but the kid can absolutely light it up.

He’s a great pick at 29. Great pick.

He was considered a lottery pick for much of the season but played poorly at the end of the year.

He works hard and has high character. Setting the culture guys…that’s what the Hornets are all about.

All you need are MORE hard working grinder rookies to get this going in the right direction. Tiddy couldn’t do it, so let’s dive deeper. Liam is one of those guys, a great storybook player from another great university filled with great teams and character.

This is bad news they drafted 2 3pt shooters with high IQ.

As if we need more 3pt shooting. Miller already chucks enough. We have no post presence to mix things up. It's gonna be LaMelo with the ball again finding 3pt shooters.

Peterson/Lee are frauds

16 game into the season he was shooting 38% from 3pt. His season played out somewhat similar to Jaku. Its possible that playing in a proper role he is actually good. Hes more athletic than Kon and if his shooting gets back to expected playing in an off ball role he could be a real steal.

I value fit quite a bit with later picks and probably would have still preferred Fleming once they took Kon at #4. Taking someone besides Kon at #4 and getting McNeeley at #29 would have been a much better use of the picks imo.

I feel like they pranked us tonight. I'm actually excited to see this crap play out on the court.

Peterson is a clown in my mind until we see these players prove themselves.

Simmer down bro... you can never have enough 3pt shooting. Yeah we need some rim pressure unless Moose is going to try to dunk everything. We still have 2 more picks in the next 4. Lets see what happens.

He is a shooter that shot 31% from the college 3? Am I missing some key detail about his season? Injury or something? Am I missing his invisible culture boost stat?

He had injury issues and had to play a role he wasn't suited to. He needs to be used like Kon but had to play a role more like Cooper at UConn.

The value is fine, but makes no sense to draft him and Kon.

They basically are the same guy, but Liam just shot really bad this year and Kon shot really well.

No Ceilings pros and cons are basically the same thing.

I don't think having a bunch good shooters who can pass too is a bad thing.
We maybe didn't get max value at 4 with kon but getting Liam who has good value at 29 and 2 more picks out of the next 5 could be good.
Ideally we are gonna keep Melo, pay Miller good $ and hopefully bring in a good FA or trade for a vet with some of these future picks to round it out over the year ahead.
Versatile efficient strong effort 3 pt shooting high bbiq sturdy built players with pedigree at winners are a good thing I think?

This is incredible

Unfortunately we’re throwing away way more than just one year here. We will be tanking next season confirmed.
