With Kalkbrenner and Plumlee's injuries we definitely needed another big option off the bench. Waived Drew Peterson and signed Summer League champion PJ Hall to a two-way, elevating him from Greensboro.

We should've just done this move immediately... but better late than never imo. Excited to see the energy he'll bring to the pro team!

He should have been on a 2-way with us since Summer League, but Memphis beat us to the punch. Glad to see him finally on the roster.

He tries to be physical at least, but I think this will be a lot tougher on him.

Fits the tanking but with players with the right attitude we’re doing this season.

As for his performance, I think PJ is doing a great job filling in for our pitiful and depleted center spot. With the Plumbdog gone for months we will need him. Who knows when Kalk is back, but Hall can play the 4 and 5. Yes we need a much bigger talent on the front line but that’s A WHOLE OTHER thread topic.

PJ Hall with a super solid game last night in Hornets defeat of the Bulls. He was the only big available, got the start, and did a good job overall. Yes he had some turnovers, and missed some defensive assignments, but played tough defense, had 10 points on 4 of 7, hit his only 3, 6 boards and 2 blocks in 22 minutes.

He's not gonna stop anything defensively or help anchor a defense, but he's serviceable on offense. And he can finish and rebound.

I think he's a better passer than he's shown as well. You can tell he sees things, just hasn't adjusted to nba speed fully.

i assume we'll use him sparingly after Moose gets back and preserve his two-way contract for use next season, but I honestly liked Hall in Dec/Jan more than what Kalkbrenner has been doing the last month or so since he came back from injury.
